    Report-evaluation of multi-storey Low Energy Houses at Hertings Gård, Falkenberg, Sweden Jörgen Hurtig University of Halmstad Energy in Minds is a project of the Concerto initiative co-funded by the European Commission within the sixth Framework Programme. Halmstad 2010-06-03 Report-Evaluation of multi-storey Low Energy Houses Hertings Gård, Falkenberg, Sweden Abstract and conclusion The new residential buildings at Hertings Gård in Falkenberg are built and owned by the local municipal housing company, Falkenbergs Bostads AB (FaBo) during 2007-2010. It is a good example of when knowledge of Passive house technology combined with good energy planning and project management can result in multi-storey houses with energy rating under 50kWh/m2. The multi-storey houses at Hertings Gård have innovative solar air heating sys- tems connected to the ventilation system that is quiet unique. The solar air heating system contributes to the buildings energy supply by preheating the ventilation supply air. (The solar air is part of another project in Energy in Minds). This evaluation is based on metered energy used for space heat, domestic hot water, elec- tricity for building service and domestic electricity for two of the multi-storey houses during 2009, House 18 and 19. The result is presented as monthly uses and compared with initial project specifications and some other parameters. The total initial energy specifications set by Concerto/Energy in Minds and FaBo for the houses are almost reached. Results are for House 18 and 19, 76,8 and 77,5 kWh/m2. (Specification 75 kWh/m2) This is total use of pur- chased energy.

Anita Judith Ogurlu 16 February 2016 2 Abstract This thesis examines the life and work of a little-known interwar period German writer Lilo Linke. Documenting individual and social evolution across three continents, her self-reflexive and autobiographical narratives are like conversations with readers in the hope of facilitating progressive change. With little tertiary education, as a self-fashioned practitioner prior to the emergence of cultural studies, Linke’s everyday experiences constitute ‘experiential learning’ (John Dewey). Rejecting her Nazi-leaning family, through ‘fortunate encounter[s]’ (Goethe) she became critical of Weimar and cultivated hope by imagining and working to become a better person, what Ernst Bloch called Vor-Schein. Linke’s ‘instinct of workmanship’, ‘parental bent’ and ‘idle curiosity’ was grounded in her inherent ‘spirit of insubordination’, terms borrowed from Thorstein Veblen.

    Dress brooches and identities A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF COLLECTIVE IDENTITES AND DRESS BROOCHES IN EARLY MEDIEVAL URBAN AND RURAL SITES IN SOUTH WEST SCANIA Lund university, department of archaeology and ancient history Master’s thesis in historical archaeology spring 2019 (ARKM22) Supervisor: Mats Roslund Examiner: Jes Wienberg Anna Isberg Abstract This thesis concerns early medieval dress brooches from urban and rural sites in South West Scania. The purpose is to investigate similarities and differences between urban and rural sites as well as between the rural places in particular. The main research questions concern the reasons for the similarities and differences, what connections and contact areas are observable according to the dress brooches and how this material can contribute to the discussion about urban and rural identities. The material has not been studied to a large extent before, especially not in any compiling project and is therefore an important piece in understanding the early medieval material culture and the inhabitants in towns and villages in South West Scania. This study is based on the notion that dress brooches were a medium from which people could express their identity. The dress brooches are examined both in terms of types as well as specific objects. Three observations are noticeable in the material in particular; a greater number of objects and types have been retrieved in Lund and more objects with Continental connotations as well as a divergent material among the rural sites. These observations are probably connected to the number of people that were present and visited each site, especially the number of foreign persons.

    Artisanal fisheries in the SE Brazilian coast: using fisher information towards local management A. Begossi Nepam Unicamp, CP 6166, Campinas, S.P. 13081-970, Brazil Abstract Coastal artisanal fisheries in SE Brazil are located close to huge urban centers, such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo cities. Many of these fisheries are also adjacent to Atlantic Forest remnants. The growth of tourism, and associated recreational fishing, along with pollution in the coastal waters, increased the chances of impact on species and on artisanal fishing. Some fish species are located close to shore, such as species of Serranidae (groupers, such as Epinephelus and Mycteroperca) and seem vulnerable to the impact from fishing and from pollution. Other species, such as from the family Centropomidae (snooks, Centropomus spp.) are found in estuarine environments, and are also a target of recreational fishers, being subject to pollution coming from coastal rivers. In order to have more information on fishing for species of Serranidae and Centropomidae, I marked the fishing spots used by artisanal fisheries in different communities found in the SE Brazilian coast. The spots were marked using GPS Garmin III and V and Magellan. Maps of the fishing spots used to catch Serranidae and Centropomidae were drawn (103 fishing spots for groupers and 36 for snooks). Such maps are based on local fisher information, and they show the area used to fish the Serranidae and Centropomidae. Such data are important to designate areas for artisanal fisheries, and to evaluate the pressure on species of Serranidae and Centropomidae.     PORVOO PRAYER DIARY 2021 The Porvoo Declaration commits the churches which have signed it ‘to share a common life’ and ‘to pray for and with one another’. An important way of doing this is to pray through the year for the Porvoo churches and their Dioceses. The Prayer Diary is a list of Porvoo Communion Dioceses or churches covering each Sunday of the year, mindful of the many calls upon compilers of intercessions, and the environmental and production costs of printing a more elaborate list. Those using the calendar are invited to choose one day each week on which they will pray for the Porvoo churches. It is hoped that individuals and parishes, cathedrals and religious orders will make use of the Calendar in their own cycle of prayer week by week. In addition to the churches which have approved the Porvoo Declaration, we continue to pray for churches with observer status. Observers attend all the meetings held under the Agreement. The Calendar may be freely copied or emailed for wider circulation. The Prayer Diary is updated once a year.     PAPERS XXIII Valcamonica Symposium 2009 LINKING THE PAST AND THE PRESENT: THE ROLE OF HISTORICAL CON- SCIOUSNESS IN ROCK ART INTERPRETATION ANNE JODON COLE* ABSTRACT Scandinavian prehistory and rock art images provide an extreme diachronic account of a now silent signifier still si- gnifying a cultural communication more than four thousand years later. A focus is cast on the rock art of two distin- ct cultures in Scandinavia: Alta, Norway and Tanum, Sweden. Gadamer’s thesis that all understanding is historically conditioned is brought in: 1) understanding can never be free of prejudice, and 2) understanding involves the union of the observer and the observed, leading to the “fusing of horizons.” Rock art images provide a graphic understanding of how a cultural image can take on various interpretations depending on the mindset of the viewer. An interpreter of rock art or intercultural communication can easily misinterpret a message due to preconceptions. Historical consciousness allows understanding the past on its own terms and within its own horizon-not in the terms of contemporary society. RESUME Les images de l’art rupestre et de la préhistoire de Scandinavie fournissent un large compte-rendu diachronique d’un signifiant actuel- lement silencieux mais qui signifie encore une communication culturelle plus de quatre mille ans plus tard. Un focus est placé sur l’art rupestre de deux différentes cultures de la Scandinavie : Alta, Norway et Tanum, en Suède. La thèse de Gadamer qui affirme que toute compréhension est conditionnée historiquement est introduite par le fait que: 1) la compréhension ne peut jamais être libre de préjugés et 2) la compréhension implique l’union de l’observateur et de l’observé, amenant à la « fusion des horizons ».

INTRODUCTION Until 1985, when Darrel Frost published the Catalogue of the Amphibians Species of de World, no comprehensive list of amphibians of Peru existed. Now, Rodriguez et al . (1993) have plublished a preliminary list of Amphibians from Peru with species distribution in ecological regions. Herein, I list all the species of amphibians reported from Peru and annotations on some species listed for Rodriguez et al . (op. cit.). The present list contains the following (family/genus/species): in Gymnophiona: 5/6/16, in Caudata: 1/1/3, and in Anura: 9/44/298, the total is 15/51/316.
