(2018 – 2019) Rawdat Al-Fayhaa High School Baccalaureate in General Sciences Work Experience Curriculum development -Sha3afeel freelance project (August – Ongoing) I am currently working in an independent project with agents from Beirut and Saudi Arabia to develop a curriculum for Kindergarten students. The project consists of developing a holistic curriculum that teaches the Arabic language through interdisciplinary methods and through visual arts (educational animation movies and songs) Siba Media Production – Trainer and Writer (2014 – Ongoing) Solo Academy: Executive manager and trainer (Fall 2017 - Ongoing) o Worked on developing a new practical curriculum for the vocal and music classes. o Worked as a trainer for 3 consecutive seasons in the academy, with students from different ages. Currently I’m a vocal and piano trainer, and a general administrator for the fourth season. Siba TV - You tube Channel for kids and teens o Wrote more than 20 Arabic songs for children and teenagers. o Wrote songs for different schools and for Ploma stationary Gemz Academy (fall 2018 – ongoing) I teach students the oriental piano with a curriculum that I designed. I structured this curriculum to facilitate practical training in which I’m expert at. The curriculum focuses on basic techniques for playing the piano and the Arabic Maqams and chords. Issam Fares Institute at AUB - A26 Backpack project (June – August 2018) Worked as a part-time administrative assistant in arranging and organizing training and enrollment sessions. I was responsible for introducing A26Backpack project to the largest number of vulnerable youths in Lebanon. Worked in the sessions as a trainer where I was responsible for guiding youth to have a video titled “My story, My future” Gemz Summer Camp in Beirut – (July – August 2018) : Worked as the music coach with children from 3 to 10. Wrote the summer song, titled “Hey Ya Bahr”. After the participants performed the song in the final show, Dr Ibrahim Baltagi (Gemz owner) adopted the song to be published in one of his academic books for teaching music in schools. Al- Bayan Summer Camp in Tripoli – Music Trainer (Summer 2014-2017); Activities’ manager (2019) o Developed my teaching strategies throughout these 4 years in appliance with my studies in AUB. o The ages varied from 3 to 15 years, so I developed differentiated approaches for different age groups. o I was responsible for organizing a singing competition for all participants and for the final music performance of the summer camp during these 4 years. o Bayan summer camp 2019 was themed “Bayan around the world”. I was assigned as the activities’ manager where I worked with the different teachers on designing the activities and the theoretical framework. Internships: IC school in Beirut (Spring 2017-2018): o Taught social studies for grade 3 students. Social studies were delivered in English in this internship. Along with the practical side, we were exposed to the methods of designing theme-based lessons and units in the field of social studies. Ahliah School in Beirut (Academic Year 2018-2019): o Taught Arabic for grade 5 students. In the practicum, I delivered more than 5 lessons and helped the mentor with designing worksheets, plans and projects. In addition, I was responsible for designing and delivering a workshop about creative methods for teaching Arabic. I also led discussions about the philosophy of teaching Arabic in schools. Educational leadership and management at Ahliah school (Spring 2019): o Shadowed Ahliah principal in faculty meetings, preparations, interviewing, and discussions about leadership topics. In addition, I encountered different staff members and teachers for studying more about the school. I also applied some of the main instructional responsibilities (like applying clinical supervision with three teachers and shadowing a student). Skills Languages: Arabic – Native; English – Fluent (Spoken and written).Writing skills: poem and song writing. Music skills: Singing – Piano - Melodica – Oud. Training skills: Oriental vocal trainer - Oriental piano teacher. Public Speaking skills: Experience in Arabic public speaking. Microsoft Office: PowerPoint – Word; Prezi for Presentations Extra-curricular Activities American University of Beirut Arab conference at Harvard: o Performed cultural and patriotic songs in the conference’s opening ceremony. o Performed in the second day in Harvard Museum of natural arts, where I gave small speeches about each artist and their historical significance & influence. o Attended the panels and participated in the discussions about identity and governance. Exchange program o I have taken the chance to spend one semester abroad in Koç University - Istanbul in the fall of 2017-2018. The experience enriched my adaptive skills to deal with new challenges, and to be open to new experiences and cultures. Education Student Society o I joined as a member in the first year and was responsible of PR in spring 2016- 2017. Member of AUB Zaki Nassif ensemble for oriental Music o I joined the choir in spring 2015-2016 and counting. I have participated in 5 concerts as both a solo and choral performer. Member in AUB western choir (spring 2018, fall 2018-2019, spring 2019); o We participated in a concert at the end of each semester along with multiple Events in AUB where we sang Alma matter and the Lebanese national anthem. Music Club Member (fall 2016 – spring 2017) o Performed in different jam sessions and university events. AUB’s Got Talent (spring 2017) o Winner of Second Place Award. Student writer in Outlook -AUB journal -(spring 2016 – spring 2017) o Covered different topics and evens in AUB and in Beirut. Professional activities within AUB o Wrote the “Green AUB – Free Tobacco Campus” song which was sung by Tayyaret Waraq band in an event that took place on AUB grounds. o Wrote a song for the education department in Arabic and sang it on Teachers’ Day. Course’s Professional Products: o Worked on a “policy tracing” project about the issue of “child labor” and came up with an organizational chart that can handle the issue from its different political and social aspects. o Worked on a holistic action plan put by an instructional supervisor to help all teachers improve their classroom management skills. .
