OAKLAND NOTES  The Oakland Athletics have lost three in a row and four of their last five games…allowed season-highs in runs (previous: 12, May 15 at LAA) and hits (previous: 18, twice; last: June 3 at BOS)…the 22 hits allowed ties the Oakland record for most hits allowed in a nine-inning game (also: August 26, 1997 vs. NYY)…lost the series 3-1, snapping their 11-series unbeaten streak (10-0-1)…their last home series loss came when they were swept by New York from July 5 to 7…went 3-4 on the final homestand of the season, a seven-game affair against Chicago (2-1) and Texas (1-3)…begin a season-ending seven-game road trip against Los Angeles (three games) and Seattle (four games) tomorrow.  Trevor Cahill allowed a career-high 12 hits (previous: 10, July 27, 2009 at BOS)…is 3-3 with a 6.09 ERA (23 er in 34.0 ip) over his last six starts after going 6-2 with a 1.46 ERA in his previous nine starts.  Rajai Davis (4 for 6) matched his career-high with four hits (fourth time; last: July 10 vs. LAA)…is 16 for 42 (.381) over his last 10 games and is batting .314 (27 for 86) in September…hit .368 (25 for 68) against Texas this year.  Mark Ellis (1 for 3) is on a six-game hitting streak (.381, 8 for 21)…is batting .400 (34 for 85) in 24 games in September…is a career .309 (197 for 637) hitter in September, his best mark for any month of the season.  Steve Tolleson (1 for 1) hit his first Major League in the eighth inning.
