Auction Information

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction opens for bidding at 5:30 for VIP reception attendees and 6:30 p.m. for general attendees. The Silent Auction closes at various times according to balloon color: the Red Balloon auction closes at 7:20, the Green Balloon auction closes at 7:30, and the Yellow Balloon auction closes at 7:40 p.m. Please refer to each bid sheet for minimum bids and minimum raises. Write your name and corresponding bid amount on the sheets. All bids are binding.

These items are available for immediate purchase at the auction venue at the price listed. Interested? Just sign your name to the purchase sheet and a volunteer will remove the item from the table and save it for you at check-out.

Live Auction

The live auction begins at approximately 8:50 p.m. and continues until all items have been auctioned. Please raise your bid paddle at your table to indicate your acceptance of offer price. The auctioneer will start the bidding at a level that he considers appropriate. He announces the condition of sale and can add or delete any items. Please raise your bid paddle at your table to indicate your acceptance of offer price. If the auctioneer determines that the opening bids or any subsequent bids do not reflect the value of the item, he may reject the bid and withdraw the item from the sale. Decisions of the auctioneer will be final. Winning bids from guests are final on all auction items.

General Information

Toward the end of the evening, the last names of winners of silent auction items will be displayed in the silent auction room. All auction winners will proceed to checkout stations. Items can be paid for with cash, check (payable to the BHS Foundation) or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover).

Expedited Auction Checkout

You can expedite your auction checkout by preregistering. Please complete the Expidited Checkout Form on page 25 of this booklet. Bring the form with you to the event and hand it in at the check-in table. At the end of the evening, proceed to the Pre-registration table, pick up your items, and be on your way! (For security purposes, these forms will be shredded upon completion of checkout.)

Winners must take items with them at the end of the evening.

HG6 – Print from Conant This low relief work was created as a collaboration piece by the fourth graders at Conant Elementary using a limited color scheme of black, white, and gold for a unified and sophisticated look.
