SOUTH LAKES BASEBALL FIELD USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
If there is standing water on the field, the field is CLOSED for the day. Please do NOT broom/sweep/squeegee/blow standing water on the field.
Do not use Turface, Kitty Litter or any other drying substances. Your job as coaches it to repair the field after play, not get it ready. If it requires more than a rake, there is no game or practice that day.
There is NO on‐field BP allowed under any circumstance. This includes pre‐ game and PRACTICE. Please use the batting cages for any pre‐game batting practices. The L‐screens should stay in the cages. If you want to hit, the pitcher needs to throw from the pitching rubber. NEVER in front of the mound on the grass
Any bullpens should be thrown in the bullpen, NOT on the game mound
If the field is tarped, please neatly fold the tarps and move them to the third base dugout. Be careful not to step on the tarps while wearing cleats. Put the tarps back on when you’re done.
Please fill in, rake and tamp any holes on the pitcher’s mound and home plate after each game as well as the “cut out” areas around each base.
Bases should be left in following your game. If there are base plugs out, please leave them on the bench in the home dugout.
Please throw all trash away in the trash cans
Failure to abide by the rules will result in your organization losing all access to the field.
