PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum Ridgefield, CT Museum Specialist, Adult Learning July 2018–Present Associate Director, Academic Programs December 2013–March 2018 – Direct all aspects of academic programming, including artists’ talks, lectures, courses, panel discussions, content, interpretive resources, and online materials and ensure the highest level of instructional quality. – Lead professional development workshops and generate educational interpretive and interactive materials for the Museum. – Direct all aspects of the Aldrich’s Museum Guide program, training , teaching artists, and front-of-house team. National Gallery Singapore Singapore Senior Manager of Adult Learning and Access Programs October 2015–February 2016 – Served as a consultant during the launch of Singapore’s new National Gallery, featuring the largest public display of modern Southeast Asian art in the region anticipated to serve approximately 3 million visitors per year. – Designed and wrote programmatic approach and strategic plan for adult learning department and pedagogical approach for The Gallery’s Training Program consisting of 240 gallery facilitators. Westport Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA) Westport, CT Director of January 2008–November 2013 – Provided leadership in the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of visitor experience and education programing. – Conceived “WAC Gives Back,” a pioneering arts program delivering therapeutic arts experiences to benefit the emotional and physical well-being of the elderly, cancer patients, children and adults with developmental disabilities, and military veterans. – Expanded education department from 18 to 164 programs per year, increasing revenue and youth audience by 400% (from under 900 to 4,000 students), and increasing family membership by 65%. Newport Restoration Foundation (NRF) Newport, RI Education and Public Program Manager September 2007–June 2008 – Developed educational programs, including student and adult tours and scholarly lectures. – Implemented best practices for high-caliber tours aimed to train staff in inquiry-based teaching and strategies in historic properties. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) New York, NY Helena Rubenstein Education Fellow June–August 2007 – Researcher for “Visitor Expectation and Experience: A Focus Study of the Exhibition What is Painting? Contemporary Art from the Collection,” examining the relationship between curatorial intentions and visitor expectations. Harvard University Arts Museums Cambridge, MA Public Education Assistant January–June 2007 – Coordinated and lead first museum-school collaborations between Cambridge Public Schools and the Fogg and Sackler Art Museums. Created programs integrating Fogg and Sackler Art Museums’ collections with curriculum standards.
