Notice of 2018 Primary Election NOTICE OF 2018 PRIMARY ELECTION Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 15th day of May, 2018, at the usual polling places in the Election Precincts of Kearney County, Nebraska, an election will be held. The polls will open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. Said election will be for nominating, or in some cases electing, candidates to various offices. Some races will not appear on the Primary Election Ballot as the number of candidates filing does not exceed twice the number of vacancies; these candidates are declared nominated and advance to the November 6, 2018, General Election. H.R. 1 and S. 1 blatantly undermine the extensive work we, as election officials, have completed in order to provide safe, accessible voting options for our constituencies.

    NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION From the office of County Clerk, Dodge County, Nebraska Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the following polling places in the precincts of Dodge County, Nebraska, an election will be held. The polls will open at 8:00 A.M. and will close at 8:00 P.M. Said election will be held for electing candidates to various offices and to consider various proposals. Voters in the Village of Winslow will be voting to levy a property tax not to exceed $1.05 per $100 of taxable valuation in excess of the limits prescribed by law for fiscal years 2019-2020 through 2023-2024 for both general operations and building construction, remodeling or site acquisition. Voters in the City of Scribner will be voting on a proposed immigration ordinance. All voters will be given a State Initiative to consider amending its Medicaid plan to expand eligibility for medical assistance to cover certain adults ages 19 through 64 whose incomes are 138% of the federal poverty level or below as defined by federal law, and to maximize federal financial participation to fund their care. A true copy of the ballot title and text of the initiative will be published by the Secretary of State once each week for three consecutive weeks preceding the election. Manipulating the size of the Supreme Court for political advantage would undermine both respect for the Court and the checks and balances system we rely on the protect our states and Constitutional liberties.
