A World of Chinese Cuisine Awaits Over 50 Chefs from Sands Macao and Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao showcase a range of delicious new dishes that highlight the wealth of talent behind the scenes at the Chinese restaurants
(Macao, Oct. 29, 2015) – Always looking to reinvent, reinvigorate and rejuvenate the menus at the dining outlets at Sands® Macao and Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao, more than 50 chefs came together recently at Sands China World of Chinese Cuisine to present a range of innovative and mouthwatering dishes that are being considered for inclusion on menus at the company’s Chinese restaurants, including Golden Court, Canton and Dynasty 8. The dishes that are eventually selected will be available on menus next spring for diners to delight in.
The event is the first in a series that will enable the culinary teams at Sands Macao and Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao to continually develop the menus so guests are constantly presented with innovative dishes.
“As a chef it is very important to keep our menus relevant and updated,” said Chef Alen Chow Len Yeun, Executive Chef of Convention Catering, Food and Beverage, Venetian Macau Limited. “One of the best ways to update a menu is to talk to other chefs about what trends we are currently seeing in the industry as well as to talk to them about their particular specialties, which can lead to crossover with techniques and ingredients. As China is such a huge country with so many different cuisines, meeting regularly is a fantastic way for us to share our knowledge and to inspire each other to create increasingly interesting and diverse menus while remaining true to our particular areas of expertise.”
With a group of very experienced chefs from several regions of China, Sands China is assured of its place in Macao’s gastronomic landscape, but maintaining this position requires hard work and dedication. The Sands China World of Chinese Cuisine showcase is the latest effort by Sands China to keep on top of the fast-paced culinary world.
