Der Crashtest-Ära Bei Audi 04.12.2013 12:04 CET Vor 75 Jahren: Start der Crashtest-Ära bei Audi • Audi zählt zu den sichersten Marken im Wettbewerb • Euro NCAP-prämierte aktive Sicherheitssysteme im Audi A3 Sicherheit hat bei Audi eine lange Tradition: Vor 75 Jahren ließen Ingenieure von DKW erstmals den Kleinwagen F7 im Dienste der Sicherheit einen Hang hinunterrollen und brachten ihn dabei gezielt zum Überschlag. Seit diesem ersten Crashversuch bei DKW, einer der vier Vorgänger-Marken von Audi, macht die Marke mit den Vier Ringen regelmäßig mit neuen Sicherheitsfeatures auf sich aufmerksam. Ende 1938 rollte der DKW-Kleinwagen F7 in Golm bei Potsdam einen Berg hinunter. Mit Hilfe einer Rampe brachten die Ingenieure den Wagen zum Überschlag, als Beweis der Sicherheit und Stabilität des Autos. Vor den Augen staunender Zuschauer und einer Kamera überschlug sich der Kleinwagen mehrmals, bevor er mit laufendem Motor und nahezu unbeschädigter Karosserie liegenblieb. Dieses Ereignis markierte den Beginn der Crashtests bei Audi und weiterer Innovationen im Bereich der Automobilsicherheit. Zu den Meilensteinen zählt unter anderem das Entwickeln von Knautschzonen, um das Verletzungsrisiko für Fahrer und Passagiere zu reduzieren. Ein NSU Prinz von 1958 zum Beispiel konnte bereits einen guten Teil der Energie eines Frontaufpralls in der Knautschzone absorbieren. Ab Ende der 1960er Jahre, bei der Entwicklung des NSU Ro 80 und des ersten Audi 100 kamen erstmals Dummys zur Analyse der Auswirkungen eines Unfalls auf den Menschen zum Einsatz. Um die Crashergebnisse noch besser reproduzierbar zu machen, weihte Audi in Ingolstadt bereits 1970 die erste Crashhalle ein. Sie ist, mehrfach modifiziert, noch heute im Einsatz. Nach und nach gab es immer exaktere Messergebnisse und die Kameratechnik hielt Einzug in die Crashforschung. So wurde eine noch bessere Analyse der Schwachpunkte eines Autos möglich. Eine patentierte Audi-Innovation aus dieser Zeit war das „Procon-ten-System“ (programmed contraction und tension). Bei einem Frontalaufprall wurden durch eine Verschieben des Motors in Richtung Innenraum über Stahlseile und Umlenkrollen das Lenkrad zurückgezogen und die vorderen Gurte gestrafft. Das 1986 eingeführte System verringerte das Risiko von Kopfverletzungen für den Fahrer deutlich und wurde erst durch die flächendeckende Einführung von Airbags abgelöst. Zusätzlich zu Crashs unter Laborbedingungen flossen ab Mitte der 1990er Jahre auch zunehmend Daten von realen Unfällen in die Entwicklung ein. Bereits 1998 gründete Audi mit der AARU (Audi Accident Research Unit) eine eigene Abteilung für Unfallforschung, die seither stetig gewachsen ist. In Zusammenarbeit mit Medizinern der Universität Regensburg wertet sie Unfalldaten aus und erarbeitet Optimierungspotenziale für neue Modelle. Die Zahl der Modelle bei Audi wächst stetig. Auch die Komplexität der Karosseriestrukturen nimmt seit Jahren weiter zu. Deshalb sind Crashsimulationen aus der Modellentwicklung nicht mehr wegzudenken. Ob Fußgängerunfälle, Frontal- oder Seitenkollisionen - nahezu alle Unfälle können heute simuliert werden. Mehr als 200 Spezialisten arbeiten bei Audi allein an diesen Themen. Monatlich führen sie etwa 20.000 Crashsimulationen durch – und das häufig bis zu zwei Jahre vor dem ersten Prototypen. Audi-Modelle zählen zu den sichersten Automobilen weltweit. Die Marke mit den Vier Ringen bietet auch in der Kompaktklasse ein umfangreiches Paket aktiver und passiver Sicherheitsfeatures. So ist etwa der Audi A3 mit dem Spurhalteassistenten active lane assist, dem Bremsassistenten Folgekollision oder pre sense front lieferbar. Dieses System kann durch aktives Bremsen die Kollisionsgeschwindigkeit bei Unfällen und damit die Unfallschwere deutlich reduzieren oder bei geringeren Geschwindigkeiten Unfälle sogar ganz verhindern. Der Audi A3 erhielt 2012 gleich vier Mal die Auszeichnung „Euro NCAP advanced“, unter anderem für diese aktiven Sicherheitssysteme. Der Audi-Konzern hat im Jahr 2012 rund 1.455.100 Automobile der Marke Audi an Kunden ausgeliefert. Von Januar bis Ende September 2012 erreichte das Unternehmen bei einem Umsatz von € 37,7 Mrd. ein Operatives Ergebnis von € 4,2 Mrd. Audi produziert an den Standorten Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm, Győr (Ungarn), Changchun (China) und Brüssel (Belgien). Der Audi Q7 wird in Bratislava (Slowakei) gefertigt. Im November 2012 startete nach Audi A4, A6 und Q5 die CKD-Produktion des Audi Q7 in Aurangabad in Indien. Seit 2010 fährt der Audi A1 und seit 2012 der neue A1 Sportback im Werk Brüssel vom Band. Der Audi Q3 wird seit Juni 2011 in Martorell (Spanien) produziert. Das Unternehmen ist in mehr als 100 Märkten weltweit tätig. 100-prozentige Töchter der AUDI AG sind unter anderem die AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. (Győr/Ungarn), die Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. (Sant’Agata Bolognese/Italien), die AUDI BRUSSELS S.A./N.V. (Brüssel/Belgien), die quattro GmbH (Neckarsulm) und der Sportmotorradhersteller Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. (Bologna/Italien). Die Linienführung und die Coupé Form wirken sich auch auf das Äußere aus. Somit sieht der E-tron Sportback deutlich sportlicher aus als der E-tron. Einen rein elektrischen Sportwagen wird Audi vermutlich im Jahr 2020 auf den Markt bringen. Die 800 Volttechnik und die 100 kWh große Unterflurbatterie wird sich der E- tron GT mit dem Taycan von Porsche teilen.
