2021 D Grade National Brass Band Champions In the first week of the school holidays, the Matamata Brass Band travelled down to Christchurch to compete at the National Brass Band Competition. Marlene Schweizer, Te Rina Gillett pictured above with Whaea Jordene, Eric Schweizer, Johnathan Shelley and Pire Poi Wilson are Whaea Naomi and Whaea Te Anini members of the band who enjoyed winning the D Grade Section overall and also the Street March. We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our lifeguard teams at Swim Zone Te Aroha, Morrinsville and Matamata. There are a variety of positions available with hours ranging from casual to 10 – 40 hours per week. Some after school and weekend shifts are available. Hours of work will be on a rostered basis and you will be required to work weekends, evenings and public holidays. You will need to have great communication skills, be customer focused, enjoy working in a team environment and be a confi- dent swimmer.
