There, all the sorori ties came to see which freshman and new members they wanted to have in their sororities. I have spoken with two dif ferent sororities, Kappa Delta and AOII, to see how their bid day went. The first person I talked to was Alex Winfree of Kappa Delta. She overall thought the process went well and she got some really cool girls. They got 21 new girls and are excited to have them live in the house next year. Salem Willis, the AOII Coordi nator, told me she had a blast. She was in charge of a game called the SAMANTHA MARSH/The Sandst experieni The day after Bid Day, AOII took the new girls to Islands of LARA BUESO/The Sandspu Adventure. They received a to RIGHT: Chi-O's welcome their nev tal of 10 new girls. The total for freshmen. their sorority stayed the same as last year but are excited about the new girls. During the whole process, BELOW: Kappa Delta's show their pride there were approximately 175- 200 girls interested in sororities. However, the number dropped drastically due to certain reasons. A lot of girls did not have the 2.5 minimum- grade point average re quirements. They could have also lost interest during the process or just di ito the sororit' like AOII caught my eye. Alex told me this sorority has a different process then the others. She said, "They are offered invitations instead of bids and they find out who got in the coming show where they perform in front of an audience... usually a step dance. Afterwards, they find out who got in." For every Rollins girl out there who participated in Bid Day and got into sororities, I hope you have a great experience and meet some really cool sisters. It is only through college that you can experience something like this. If you did not get into a sorority or did not get into the one you desired, don't worry, its not over yet.
