DOMESTIC OUTLOOK * Indices are seen extending gains from Thursday on the back of improved global sentiment after data showed a fall in the US weekly jobless claims, and reports suggested that the US President is likely to propose a budget worth $6 trln. Paul said during a press conference. * TRADE: The government has approved the appointment of B.V.R. Subrahmanyam as commerce secretary from July. STOCKS ====== * ADANI ENTERPRISES: Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) sold shares of the company, ADANI TOTAL GAS, and ADANI TRANSMISSION via bulk deals on the National Stock Exchange. 8 * APOLLO HOSPITALS ENTERPRISE: Said that so far, it has administered 1 mln COVID- 19 vaccine doses across 80 locations through group hospitals in the country, and aims to take this number to 20 mln by September. * BHARAT ELECTRONICS: Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) sold 28.5 mln shares, or 1.2% stake, in the company at 148.43 rupees apiece via a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange. * CADILA HEALTHCARE: Will likely apply for emergency usage authorisation for its COVID- 19 vaccine, ZyCov-D, in the next two weeks, Managing Director Sharvil Patel said. * CHOLAMANDALAM INVESTMENT AND FINANCE CO: Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) sold 7.9 mln shares, representing 0.96% stake in the company, at 537.32 rupees a share through a bulk deal on the National Stock Exchange. * DISH TV INDIA: Is considering a 10-bln-rupee rights issue. A board meeting on this is expected to be called soon, disclosed merchant banking sources. (BS) * HESTER BIOSCIENCES: Has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bharat Biotech International to invest 400 mln rupees and provide infrastructure to manufacture drug substance for Covaxin, one of the two COVID-19 vaccines being made in India. * HINDALCO INDUSTRIES: Has raised the prices of its aluminium ingots, billets and wire rods after cutting them five times in a row. The company raised prices by more than 1% or 2,500 rupees per tn with effect from Wednesday. 9 * HINDUSTAN UNILEVER: Will continue to focus on volume-led competitive growth even as it remains watchful of the second wave of COVID-19, the fast-moving consumer goods major said in its annual report for 2020-21 (Apr-Mar). * INFOSYS: Delivery capabilities have not been materially impacted due to the second wave of COVID-19 in India, Chief Executive Officer Salil Parekh said. Promoter S.D. Shibulal bought 722,545 shares, representing 0.02% stake, in the company from promoter Kumari Shibulal, who is also his wife, through a block deal on BSE. * JSW STEEL: Amid opposition from within the ruling BJP and cases pending in courts, the Karnataka cabinet on Thursday put on hold its earlier decision to sell 3,667 acres of land to the company in Ballari district.
