THE 11TH EDITION OF IWIS IS HELD UNDER IFIA’S PATRONAGE OCTOBER 19, 2017

11th edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions “IWIS 2017” was held on October 9-11, 2017 in the Main Hall of the Warsaw University of Technology. As in previous years, the event was organized by the Association of Polish Inventors and Innovators in cooperation with the Polish Patent Office and the Warsaw University of Technology. Once again, the exhibition IWIS 2017 was held under the auspices of the Republic of Polish Andrzej Duda. Among the patronage of this year’s show were the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the International Federation of Inventors (IFIA), the European Association of Inventors (AEI), the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations NOT, Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry, the Main Council of the Research Institutes RGiB and the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Warsaw Adam Struzik. IWIS is Poland’s largest international exhibition dedicated to the promotion of invention and innovation. During the 11th edition presented solutions from 32 countries, including Romania, , Bulgaria, Canada, , Czech Republic, Indonesia, , Taiwan, Province of China, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, China. Polish inventors presented 138 solutions in various fields of science, which globally with foreign inventors gave more than 400 solutions, which are a review of technical achievements, some of which have found their place in the industry, and partly awaiting implementation. Thanks to the financial support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (under contract 713/P-DUN/2017 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education allocated to the activities of Akademia Górniczo–Hutnicza Wydział Fizyki i Informatyki Stosowanej al. IIDC ATTRACTS 300 INTERNATIONAL INVENTORS TO HONG KONG DECEMBER 11, 2017

International Invention and Design Competition -IIDC 2017- was organized between 6 and 8 December 2017 in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, global invention zone by Chinese Innovation and Invention Society (CIIS) in collaboration with Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and IFIA. Categorized in four groups of “innovative technology”, “medical and healthcare”, “smart home and building” and “eco and better living”, IIDC 2017 gathered more than 300 inventors and 101 inventions from Taiwan, Province of China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Poland, Russia, , Sweden, Iran, , and China. With the support of HKTDC, the IIDC competition and exhibition resulted in a fruitful outcome and came to a successful conclusion. Like many other international invention exhibitions, the Hong Kong Exhibition was exhibition-competition based; however, its greatest distinction was that with HKTDC as intermediary, the events were generally based on the trade of intellectual property rights and partnership with buyers. In the 3-day exhibition, buyers were able to immediately enquire about commercially viable inventions and place direct orders, and this active on-site trade channel that

During the exhibition, many of inventors received orders from Hong Kong, Singapore and many other countries which made them brilliant successes.

IIDC was also supported by International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), with the assistance of IFIA and its President (Mr. Alireza Rastegar) in drawing talented inventors from all over the world and providing two IFIA Best Invention Medals.

The inventions in IIDC exhibition included patents from all over the world. Half of these inventions came from technology industries, university incubation centers and academic research. Young inventors continued to be a highlight of this event. Twenty inventions from elementary, middle and senior high schools, aged from 10 to 18, were displayed.

IWIS is Poland’s largest international exhibition dedicated to the promotion of invention and innovation. During the 12th edition, solutions from 25 countries, including Romania, Malaysia, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Indonesia, Iran, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, China, Russia and Poland were presented. Polish inventors presented 190 solutions in various fields of science, adding up to 400 solutions including foreign inventors, which are a review of technical achievements, some of which have found their place in the industry, and partly awaiting for implementation.

The main task of the International Exhibition of Inventions IWIS is to present achievements of polish scientist and inventors to national and foreign entrepreneurs and institutions. This creates the opportunity to establish commercial contracts for implementation of innovations to the industry, what have contribution to the growth of polish economy. Other important aim of IWIS is to promote innovative attitude and innovation-based perception of the world among young people, what can be the motor for taking on new challenges.

During the ceremony short speeches were given by director of the International Federation of Inventors (IFIA) Zoran Barisic and the president of the Polish Federation of Engineering Associations NOT Ewa Mańkiewicz – Cudny.

Finally Grand Prix IWIS 2018 went to Military University of Technology from Poland for “NERVE – biomedical system for monitoring epilepsy and assessing the effectiveness of medical treatment of children suffering from epilepsy”. The Main Award of International Federation of Inventors Associations IFIA went to Central Mining Institute from Poland for the invention “Eco Patrol”.

THE 2018 IENA CELEBRATES ITS 70TH ANNIVERSARY NOVEMBER 14, 2018

The 2018 international trade fair “Ideas – Inventions – New Products” iENA Nuremberg once again demonstrated its standing as an international platform for inventors and invention over four days of exhibition. The 2018 iENA took place for the first time in the new exhibition hall 3C. The 12,900 trade visitors were delighted by the new ambiance and the approximately 800 inventions.

Inventors from over 30 countries traveled to Nuremberg to present around 800 inventions. Not only were major partners highly satisfied with this year’s inventors’ fair but also private inventors and small associations announced their participation in iENA 2019 with new ideas, inventions and products.

Ludger Hermanns, the inventor of the AIRwall, was highly satisfied with the response that his innovation received at the iENA: “This was the first time we’d come to the iENA and we had a fantastic result. We were particularly pleased that people from all over the world, such as from Asia and Iran, took an interest in our innovation. Poor air quality in cities is an international problem and so for our invention which counteracts this we got lots of interesting and inspiring ideas for new applications.”

On the first two days of the fair, the iENA was open to trade visitors only. Entrepreneurs, investors, developers and supporters from the most diverse industries came to discover ideas, inventions and new products. On the weekend, the iENA was also open to visitors to the Consumenta running in parallel and on these days the iENA exhibitors also experienced a great deal of interest. New synergies and partnerships were formed between individual exhibitors as well. Networking is highly important at the international inventors’ fair. The large media coverage of the 2018 iENA brought exhibitors a great deal of additional attention on national and international TV channels and in newspapers and specialist publications.

The iENA will also be the platform in 2019 for all creatives and inventors and provides support from initial idea and creation of a prototype through to market launch, marketing and company formation. Partners are available in all areas and can provide support and give tips. The German Patent and Trademark Office has for many years been a solid partner of the Nuremberg iENA. The VDI (Association of German Engineers) promotes the technical foundations and presents budding engineers and their innovations in Nuremberg. In addition, numerous national and international inventor associations which assist inventors with their projects are represented at the iENA. The International Federation of Inventors’ Association IFIA celebrated its 50th anniversary at the iENA as well.
