Gettysburg Equestrian Historical Society Trail Ride Registration GEHS holds it annual trail rides to support the preservation and maintenance of the equestrian trails at Gettysburg National Military Park. Come join the fun and learn more about the history of the Battle of Gettysburg. Our Licensed Battlefield Guide will inform you about the landmarks you'll see as you ride across the battlefield, including Little Round Top, the Peach Orchard, the field of Pickett's Charge, and much more. You must have your own horse (we do not rent horses). We strongly recommend that your horse be shod or wear protective boots as the trail is a gravel base with some rocky areas, and crosses macadam. We also ride near traffic (tour buses, motorcycles, etc.) Make sure your horse is comfortable with the sights, smells, and noises it may encounter. Your horse must also be comfortable with standing still in a group while the guide is talking. YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF NEGATIVE COGGINS ON THE DAY OF THE RIDE. NO COGGINS, NO RIDE! The cost of the ride is $50.00 The registration fee covers the guided ride and a complimentary lunch when the ride is over. There is a limit of 20 riders per National Park Service rules, so register as soon as possible. You will not be considered registered until this form and payment is received. You may either: • mail your registration and check made payable to GEHS to Jennifer Good, 11701 Wharf Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268, or • pay online via PayPal, then scan and email your registration to Jennifer Good, [email protected]. If you have any questions, please call Jennifer at 717-765-6980 or email her at [email protected]. On the date of the ride, please arrive no later than 9am to sign in and show your negative coggins.
