    Minutes of 422nd SEAC Meeting Dated 26/09/2019 The 422nd meeting of SEAC was held in Directorate of Environment, U.P. on 26/09/2019 following members were present in the SEAC: 1. Dr. (Prof.) S.N. Dr. Ajoy Kumar Mandal, Member 8. Shri Meraj Uddin, Member The Chairman welcomed the members to the 422nd SEAC meeting. The SEAC unanimously took following decisions on the agenda points discussed: 1. Sand stone Mining at Araji No.-37, Village-Dakahi, Tehsil-Chunar, Mirzapur., M/s Shiv Stone works., Area-1.21 ha. File No. 4861/Proposal No. SIA/UP/MIN/37550/2019 The committee noted that the matter was earlier discussed in 411 th SEAC meeting dated 12/07/2019 and the project proponent requested to defer the matter in upcoming SEAC meeting due to incomplete documents before SEAC. The committee discussed matter and directed to defer the matter as per the request made by the project proponent. The project proponent through letter dated 26/08/2019 has requested to list the matter in next SEAC meeting. Hence, the matter was listed in 422 nd SEAC meeting dated 26/09/2019. A presentation was made by the project proponent along with their consultant M/s Ind Tech House Consult. The proponent, through the documents submitted and the presentation made, informed the committee that:- 1.     NOTIFICATION FOR THE POSTS OF GRAMIN DAK SEVAKS CYCLE – III/2021-2022 UTTAR PRADESH CIRCLE RECTT/GDS ONLINE ENGAGEMENT/CYCLE-III/UP/2021/8 Applications are invited by the respective engaging authorities as shown in the annexure ‘I’against each post, from eligible candidates for the selection and engagement to the following posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks. I. Job Profile:- (i) BRANCH POSTMASTER (BPM) The Job Profile of Branch Post Master will include managing affairs of Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank ( IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/Smartphone/laptop supplied by the Department. The overall management of postal facilities, maintenance of records, upkeep of handheld device/laptop/equipment ensuring online transactions, and marketing of Postal, India Post Payments Bank services and procurement of business in the villages or Gram Panchayats within the jurisdiction of the Branch Post Office should rest on the shoulders of Branch Postmasters. However, the work performed for IPPB will not be included in calculation of TRCA, since the same is being done on incentive basis.Branch Postmaster will be the team leader of the Branch Post Office and overall responsibility of smooth and timely functioning of Post Office including mail conveyance and mail delivery. He/she might be assisted by Assistant Branch Post Master of the same Branch Post Office. BPM will be required to do combined duties of ABPMs as and when ordered. He will also be required to do marketing, organizing melas, business procurement and any other work assigned by IPO/ASPO/SPOs/SSPOs/SRM/SSRM and other Supervising authorities.

Srivastava Centre of Advanced Study, Department of Geology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi -221005 Abstract The Precambrian rocks exposed in the southern part of Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh rocks form a part of Chhotanagpur plateau of the central part of India. Geologically it belongs to the Chhotanagpur Granite Gneiss Complex (CGGC) which has witnessed multiple tectonic deformations. From the analysis of the folds of this region four deformation phases have been identified for the CGGC rocks. The characteristic fold interference of dome and basin type has rendered the present day topography of the Chhotanagpur plateau which is different from nearby plateaux on other Precambrian rocks in central India. Introduction The structural features are the manifestations of the deforming forces that have acted on the rock bodies since their formation. Each rock type possesses different mechanical and physical properties which vary with conditions under which it deforms. Therefore, diverse varieties of structures are displayed by the rocks which constitute the earth's crust. The systematic study of these structures i.e. the structural analysis reveals the deformational histories of the rock bodies in different parts of the crust. Folds are those structures which develop during the ductile deformation of the layered rocks in response to the tectonic forces. Therefore the systematic studies and analysis can reveals many aspects of the tectonic events that the rocks has undergone.

Bapat 91 "Our Buddha" in an Asokan Inscription by A. K. Narain A new version of the Minor Rock Edict I was discovered at Ahrau- ra village in the Mirzapur District of Uttar Pradesh in 1961. The discovery was announced in a daily newspaper report of 11th November 19611 and a critical edition of the inscription was pub­ lished by me in Bharati, Research Bulletin of the College oflndo- logy, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.2 Later other editions of this epigraph were also published.8 It is inscribed on the upper sur­ face of a boulder, about a hundred yards from a temple of the goddess BhandandevT situated on the same hill.
