She averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists in the low-scoring, one-possession wins. • Her game-winning put-back at the buzzer gave the Huskers a 65-63 win over No. 15 Northwestern and was ESPN SportsCenter’s Top Play (Dec. 31), capping a 19-point, eight-rebound, five-assist effort against the previously unbeaten and defending Big Ten champion Wildcats. • She closed the week with 16 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win over Rutgers, including six straight points to cap a 9-0 Husker run that turned a 44-40 fourth-quarter deficit into a 49-44 lead. Haiby was also instrumental in a Big Red defensive effort that held the Scarlet Knights 36 points below their season scoring average in NU’s 53-50 win. • Her efforts earned her a second spot this season on the Big Ten Weekly Honor Roll (Jan. 4) and the fourth of her career. • Haiby produced the best performance of her career with a career-high 33 points to go along with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and a blocked shot in Nebraska’s 78-72 Big Ten-opening win over Illinois (Dec. 10). Haiby scored double figures in each of the final three quarters against the Fighting Illini.
