Beith Branch Closure Review Beith Branch Closure Review Our Beith branch is closing in June We’ve put together this guide to share with you how we’ve made the decision and let you know about other ways to bank with us. We’ve noticed the way our customers like to do their everyday banking is changing. And we’ve used this information to help us decide what changes to make. To make sure we’re offering our customers the right services in the right places, we’re investing £250 million into our branches and digital services. We’ll be improving some branches to offer better digital technology and opening some new ones, but this does mean closing some too. Following a careful and full review, we’ll be closing our Beith branch in June. There are a number of other branches you can visit, the closest one is Kilbirnie, and you can also use our Johnstone branch. This guide will tell you more about the review and our Partners are always on hand if you’d like to speak to them in person. What we’ve done • We’ve written to our customers to let them know about the closure and the different ways they can bank with us. This information is available in our Beith branch, as well as online. • Partners in our Beith branch have been chatting to customers, including those who are most vulnerable to branch closures – answering questions, discussing concerns, giving advice on alternative travel arrangements and how they can get to other branches and alternative ATMs. This has included informing customers about the opening hours of other nearby branches. • TSB is also offering customers ‘Get Me Started’ appointments, which help customers register for and use online, mobile and telephone banking. • TSB has an arrangement with the Post Office. Personal customers are able to use any Post Office branch which offers financial services, including the local branch on Eglinton Street, to check their balance, make cash withdrawals and make cash and cheque deposits. • There will be no job losses as a result of this change.     Garnock Campus – Roads and Infrastructure Improvements Thank you for taking an interest in the new Garnock Campus and the proposals for roads and infrastructure improvements set out on the adjacent plan. The campus project is currently on site and is planned to open in January 2017, with construction works estimated to be completed by December 2016. It is intended that all of the proposed improvements to roads and infrastructure will be in place by this date. The plan represents a range of activities which will be carried out as a direct consequence of the new Garnock Campus and a number of activities which, while not a planning requirement for the new campus, will support it in some way. The plan includes some narrative on each proposal to provide you with an overview of the action being taken. Other Activities in Support of the New Campus Project officers and colleagues from several Council services are involved in a number of Roads Paths and Transport Activities linked to the Garnock Campus, namely: Walking Routes Education, Road Safety and Project Officers assessing appropriate walking and cycling routes to the campus; School Travel Plan Every school has a Travel Plan in place and this includes in-school pupil surveys and key information to assist our learners on their journey to school. The Warnock campus Travel Plan will be developed ahead of the campus opening; Smarter Choices Smarter Places Funding has been secured from the Smarter Choices Smarter Places fund for a range of behaviour change activities in relation to the Garnock Campus. This is part of the Council’s Travel Smart project and will promote active and sustainable travel to and from the Campus.

Recommendation: That the Cabinet agrees to: a) Approve the acceptance and expenditure of the successful grant offers as detailed at Appendix 2; b) Approve the acceptance and expenditure of the outstanding grant offers and additional awards identified if successful; and c) Receive a further report on the proposed projects and associated funding applications for 2020/21. 1. Executive Summary 1.1 In January 2019, the Cabinet approved a number of active travel and transport projects across North Ayrshire and the submission of associated funding applications to enable their implementation. The projects identified emerged from the priorities of the Local Transport Strategy, Outdoor Access Strategy and Core Paths Plan and were informed by workshops with Elected Members and in consultation with Council Services and the North Ayrshire Outdoor Access Forum. 1.2 Funding applications are required on an annual basis in support of an annual capital and revenue budget. In excess of £1 million of external funding has typically been secured on an annual basis. Offers of funding totalling £2,056,000 have been received to date for the active travel and transport projects. These are presented in Appendix Two to the report. 2. Background 2.1 National priorities for transport and active travel are identified by the Scottish Government's National Transport Strategy, Strategic Transport Projects Review, Cycling Action Plan for Scotland and National Walking Strategy.

    Kilbirnie Branch Review Our branch at Kilbirnie is closing on 24 February 2021. What you need to know We’ve looked carefully at our Kilbirnie branch at 64 Main Street, Kilbirnie, KA25 7DD and how it is used, and we’ve taken the decision to close it. The way customers bank with us is rapidly evolving with the vast majority of everyday transactions now being done digitally. Over 2.1 million of our customers now choose to bank online, and over 1.3 million use our Mobile Banking App. Even prior to COVID-19 customers were choosing other ways to bank with us, with 50% using services at our cash machines, and 20% using a Post Office®. Over 190,000 customers have been supported through our new online chat service, helping them with queries and other services. 67% of all our customers are now using mobile, online or telephone banking, and at this branch 80% of our personal and 75% of our business customers, now choose to use another branch or channel instead. We need to make sure our branches meet the current and future needs of our customers, and TSB remains committed to face to face services in branch through a network that covers the whole country. In North Ayrshire we will still have 1 branch serving 25,020 customers. This Branch Review explains how we can support you through the changes and the alternative services you can use.
