ROYAL TANK REGIMENT REUNION AT WYBOSTON LAKES RESORT

The Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) is the oldest tank unit in the world, being formed by the British Army in 1916 during the Great War. Today, it is the armoured regiment of the British Army's 1st Armoured Infantry Brigade. Formerly known as the Tank Corps and the Royal Tank Corps, it is part of the Royal Armoured Corps.

THE CHALLENGE

The 2nd Royal Tank Regiment was looking for a new venue for its annual reunion weekend.

Wyboston Lakes Resort was chosen because it met the members and organisers’ requirements; a full 18-hole golf course, flexible and comfortable onsite accommodation for all prospective attendees, extensive bar facilities, comprehensive transport links and a wide range of onsite activities to keep attendees and spouses entertained throughout the day.

THE SOLUTION

Over 120 members travelled from far and wide to attend and raised almost £2k for their charity 2nd Helpings through a raffle and auction. Golfers particularly appreciated Wyboston Lakes Resort’s onsite course, with those playing vying for a competition cup. Fishing enthusiasts cast their lines in the nearby lake, while spouses enjoyed unwinding in the venue’s acclaimed pool and spa.
