What the American Medical Association Thinks of the Electronic Reactions of Abrams
WHAT THE AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION THINKS OF THE ELECTRONIC REACTIONS OF ABRAMS. ALBERT ABRAMS, A. M., M. D., LL. D., F. R. M. S. FOREWORD Dr. Albert Abrams of San Francisco is the latest rocket to blaze a somewhat polychromatic course across the firma ment of pseudo-medicine. The stick will fall, anon. In the field of diagnosis Dr. Abrams claims to have evolved a system of abdominal percussion, practiced in connection with certain electrical apparatus he has made, from which he derives what he is pleased to term the “Electronic Reactions of Abrams” (abbreviated E. R. A.). By means of this system it is claimed that Abrams ‘ ‘ can diagnose the sex, race and disease” of a patient he has never seen. All that he needs is a sample of blood from the individual. A few drops of blood, from a person who must be facing west but who may be a thousand miles or more away, are put on a piece of paper and the paper is placed in what Abrams calls his “Dynamizer.” This is connected with his “Rheostatic Dynamizer,” from which, in turn, wires go to the “Vibratory Rate Rheostat” that is connected with the “Measuring Rheostat!” From the “Measuring Rheo stat” comes a wire at the end of which is an electrode which is pressed to the forehead of a healthy individual (the “subject”) whose abdomen is being percussed. The “subject” must face west, also. The whole arrangement is reminiscent of one of Gold berg’s inimitable cartoons, depicting a fearful and wonder ful device for waking up in the morning or committing suicide or something equally interesting. -

Zipfel Date NHD POD, NHDPS ED, BSC HONOURS, PHD Johannesburg, 2008 Declaration I declare that this is my own work. This dissertation, to my knowledge, has never before been submitted for any diploma, degree or examination at this institution, or any other. This dissertation is being presented to the University of Johannesburg for the partial fulfilment of the Masters degree of Technology in the programme Homeopathy. Ethical Clearance No: 52/06 passed 13 October 2006 by the Higher Degrees and Ethical Committees of the University of Johannesburg. ________________________________ (Signature of student) __________________________________ (Date) ii Abstract Onychocryptosis is the diagnostic term for an ingrown toenail. It is a common and painful condition that occurs either when the nail grows into the skin on the lateral or medial side of the toe, or if the skin on the side of the toenail grows over the edge of the nail. Magnetis Polus Australis is a homoeopathic remedy recommended in the Homoeopathic Materia Medica specifically for the treatment of onychocryptosis. In previous studies, Rohl (2003) used the remedy Magnetis Polus Australis in a 7cH and a 30cH potency whereas Khan (2004) used it in a 200cH and a 1M potency. Their studies showed promising results but had sample sizes too small for definitive conclusions. -

Bio-Magnetic Therapy
February 2008 BIO-MAGNETIC THERAPY HEALTH TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT UNIT MEDICAL DEVELOPMENT DIVISION MINISTRY OF HEALTH MALAYSIA 002/08 Prepared by: Puan Noormah Darus Principal Assisstant Director Health Technology Assessment Unit Medical Development Division Ministry of Health Malaysia Reviewed by: Datin Dr. Rugayah Bakri Deputy Director Health Technology Assessment Unit Medical Development Division Ministry of Health Malaysia ii EXECUTIVE SUMMARY OF BIO-MAGNETIC THERAPY INTRODUCTION Bio-magnetic healing is the therapy that helps the body heals itself. Magnetic healing is nothing new. Early records in scientifically advanced civilizations, tell us that magnetic forces have long been prized for their restorative properties. Chinese manuscripts dating back thousands of years describe the Eastern belief that the life force, termed "qi", is generated by the earth's magnetic field. Bio-magnetic therapy is the art and science of application and removal of magnetic fields for therapeutic benefit. Magnetic field is an invisible region of space around a magnet or electric current in which a detectable force is exerted from the body of the magnet. TECHNICAL FEATURES It is important to distinguish between static magnet therapy and electromagnetic therapy which is not the same. Research into magnet therapy is divided into two distinct areas: pulsed bioelectric magnetic therapy and fixed magnetic therapy. Static magnet therapy: A fixed magnet emits a magnetic field which is caused by electrical charges in motion. Static magnet therapy is a form of alternative medicine claiming that certain medical disorders can be effectively treated by exposure to static magnetic fields, produced by permanent magnets. Static magnet generates a field which penetrates the skin, tissues and bones, increasing the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients which in turn promotes healing. -

In the history of physician-quacks, the undisputed king is Dr. Albert Abrams. About the Author
About the Author My name is Mark Sircus Ac., OMD and I am the director of the International Medical Veritas Association (IMVA). I was trained in acupuncture and oriental medicine at the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Santa Fe, N.M., and in the School of Traditional Medicine of New England in Boston. I served at the Central Public Hospital of Pochutla, in Mexico, and was awarded the honorary title of doctor of oriental medicine for my work there in the early eighties and I was one of the first nationally certified acupuncturists in the United States. That was in the early part of my life. For many years I lived the life of a recluse exploring inner ground and wrote poetry, music, and then dived into intense writings on a wide variety of subjects in the area of psychology and spirituality. When my third child was born in 2003 I started researching vaccines and was inspired in a very short period of time to write and publish Cry of the Heart , which is about childhood vaccination. The Terror of Pediatric Medicine came three years later, which I launched as a cruise missile against the western medical establishment. It’s available as a free ebook download from the IMVA site . As you will see from the first page it is Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who is spearheading a confrontation with the worst elements of the medical industrial complex. A colossal mistake has been made and it threatens the very fabric of western medicine, whose integrity is smashed, intelligence questioned. his book confronts the cancer industry’s basic philosophy and practice by presenting comprehensive answers and a new paradigm for cancer treatment all of which is supported by empirical medical science. -
Effects of Reiki and Body Magnets in Distant Healings of the Chakra System
Effects of Reiki and Body Magnets in Distant Healings of the Chakra System Francesca McCartney Research Proposal The hypothesis is that the energy of a distant Reiki healing coupled with body magnets vs. a healing without body magnets will have a stronger field of conduction and thus reception. To test this hypothesis a Reiki practitioner will beam two 10-minute chakra healing sessions to one client with a 20-minute rest time in between. The practitioner will receive the name and location of the client; and both will receive a predetermined time for facilitation of this protocol. By random choice, the practitioner will wear body magnets on the hand chakras in 1 of the 2 sessions. The client will record a graded pulse (strong, medium, low, none) felt in each of the seven main chakras before and after each beaming. Support of this hypothesis will be obtained if a pulse of 1 grade higher or more is recorded with the magnetic Reiki beaming. The client’s ability to diagnose pulse gradient of the chakras has been predetermined. Neither participant will know the hypothesis. The client will not know about the Reiki energy or body magnets. Independent variable construct: Application of body magnets on the practitioner hands. Independent variable (operationally defined): Practitioners will be instructed to conduct two10 minute beamings: one with magnets placed on the hand chakras; and one without magnets. Dependent variable construct: Client record of the energy pulse in each of the seven main chakras of the two Reiki beamings. Dependent variable (operationally defined): Clients feeling a gradable pulse of the beamed Reiki energy in each of the seven main chakras during the two beamings. -
