Dopo tanta Secretary, Budget and Finance: burocrazia i lavori stanno finalmente iniziando. Vi riaggiornerò a lavori Carol Gratzke Patterson ultimati. Patrick Nardulli Treasurer: Andrea Zarattini - ICC President Don Stadelli Antonella Castaldo Silvia Arnone Metzger Victor Laruccia Dear Friends, The language courses are proceeding very well and we are all preparing for the new quarter which as usual will propose new courses. After many years we will resume offering courses for children! Yes, in this way we will give parents the opportunity to go shopping at the “Little Italy Farmers Market” or enjoy a good cappuccino while their son or daughter learns or perfects the Italian language. I sincerely thank all those who in recent years have helped to keep up the quality of our courses and all the students who have always trusted us. Our workshops and events, which often could not accommodate all those interested in participating, were very successful. Perhaps not everyone knows or remembers that last year the ICC together with friends Stefano Ceresoli (Piazza 1909), Mario Cassineri (Founder and Chef of Bice and now culinary director of Blade 1936) and Marcello Avitabile (Buona Forchetta) ) organized two charity dinners raising around $ 17,000. Our donations have been divided between the Municipality of Montemonaco and the Ristorante il Tiglio. Over $10,000 has been donated to the Montemonaco City Council for the purpose of securing a building to be used as a primary school. At the Ristorante Tiglio di Montemonaco, the donation was designated to reconstruct the restaurant that had been badly damaged by the earthquake and no longer usable. After much bureaucracy the work is finally starting. I will keep you updated as to the completed work. Unfortunately, our newsletter will be forced to take a break. I will try to do my best to republish it as soon as possible and keep in touch with all of you.
