Introduction Diemen, a small municipality under Amsterdam, believes that they have always had a special relationship with the Dutch Royal House of Orange. Queen Wilhelmina loved to meander in Diemen and Prince Bernhard crashed his car there. From 1899 onwards Diemen held the Oranjefeesten: multiple days of festivities mostly for the Diemer children.1 In this thesis, we will see that many protagonists from Diemen share that loyalty to the house of Orange. -

CONVENANT VERDUURZAMING STADSVERWARMINGSCENTRALE DIEMEN. De gemeente Diemen, De gemeente Almere, De gemeente Amsterdam, De gemeente Weesp, De gemeente Gooise Meren, De provincie Noord Holland, Vattenfall Power Generation BV, verder te noemen Vattenfall, verder te noemen “Partijen” komen ten aanzien van de verduurzaming van de warmtelevering vanuit de Stadsverwarmingscentrale te Diemen en daarmee samenhangende aspecten het volgende overeen. Preambule Vattenfall heeft de ambitie om binnen één generatie fossielvrij leven mogelijk te maken en betrekt daar haar klanten, haar toeleveranciers en overheden in. Deze ambitie is onder meer vertaald in een strategie ter verduurzaming van de Diemense Stadsverwarmingscentrale en het daaraan gekoppelde stadsverwarmingsnet in Amsterdam, Diemen en Almere. Momenteel reduceert dit stadverwarmingssysteem de CO2 emissies met ca 50% in vergelijking tot individuele gasketels bij de mensen thuis. Voor 2040 is het uitganspunt dat geheel fossielvrij warmte wordt geproduceerd, onder gelijktijdig forse groei van het aantal aansluitingen. Daarbij wordt ingezet op grootschalige toepassing van een mix van duurzame energiebronnen, zoals Geothermie, Aquathermie, Restwarmte uit Datacenters, groene waterstof en elektriciteit voor warmteopwekking (“power to heat”), Daarnaast wordt op korte termijn ingezet op het gebruik van Houtpellets, te stoken in een daarvoor te realiseren Biomassainstallatie. Deze biomassa wordt benut als transitiebrandstof. Na de eerste 12 jaar wordt het gebruik van biomassa geleidelijk weer afgebouwd, waarbij de andere genoemde bronnen de rol geleidelijk overnemen van zowel het nog resterende gasverbruik als de biomassa. Over het gebruik van biomassa voor energielevering bestaat een, soms felle, maatschappelijke discussie. Daarbij willen wij opmerken dat de oorsprong van deze discussie ligt bij het grootschalig gebruik van biomassa voor elektriciteitsproductie, waarvoor het overgrote deel van de in Nederland geïmporteerde biomassa wordt gebruikt. -

This Association was an initiative of the Schule für estaltung in Basel and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Zo zijn “Gerrit” Kwaliteitsafspraken te beoordelen. Ondanks een positief (de bachelor) en “Willem” (de master) in fysieke zin sa - advies van het panel, heeft de minister op basis van een mengekomen, na de oplevering van het Fedlevgebouw eind negatief advies van het bestuur van de NVAO een besluit 2018, waarmee de bachelor en master voor het eerst samen genomen om de studievoorschotmiddelen nog niet toe te op één campus gehuisvest zijn. -

Anneke Jans’ Maternal Grandfather and Great Grandfather By RICIGS member, Gene Eiklor I have been writing a book about my father’s ancestors. Anneke Jans is my 10th Great Grandmother, the “Matriarch of New Amsterdam.” I am including part of her story as an Appendix to my book. If it proves out, Anneke Jans would be the granddaughter of Willem I “The Silent” who started the process of making the Netherlands into a republic. Since the records and info about Willem I are in the hands of the royals and government (the Royals are buried at Delft under the tomb of Willem I) I took it upon myself to send the Appendix to Leiden University at Leiden. Leiden University was started by Willem I. An interesting fact is that descendants of Anneke have initiated a number of unsuccessful attempts to recapture Anneke’s land on which Trinity Church in New York is located. In Chapter 2 – Dutch Settlement, page 29, Anneke Jans’ mother was listed as Tryntje (Catherine) Jonas. Each were identified as my father’s ninth and tenth Great Grandmothers, respectively. Since completion of that and succeeding chapters I learned from material shared by cousin Betty Jean Leatherwood that Tryntje’s husband had been identified. From this there is a tentative identification of Anneke’s Grandfather and Great Grandfather. The analysis, the compilation and the writings on these finds were done by John Reynolds Totten. They were reported in The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, Volume LVI, No. 3, July 1925i and Volume LVII, No. 1, January 1926ii Anneke is often named as the Matriarch of New Amsterdam. -

Statement on Social Safety in Art Education 20 May 2021 In the KUO Sector Agenda 2021-2025, social safety is explicitly named as a theme.1 It is clear that the sector considers social safety a crucial issue and we have decided to elaborate on this theme in a joint approach. This is informed in part by the attention recently paid to various issues of social safety. In this context, studies have been carried out, discussions held, conclusions drawn and policies and procedures reviewed at various art schools. The sector takes a critical look at itself and takes steps where necessary. This statement and the accompanying ‘outline of the social safety code’ are the next step in that process, a joint step that we are taking as a sector. As an art education sector, we wish to send out a clear joint signal. A signal that shows that the sector is aware that social safety is not an ad-hoc matter but requires constant attention. And that social safety consists of various facets and therefore forms an integral part of our organisations and of the dialogue. In addition to the existing approach at the various art schools, a follow-up step is therefore now being taken in which we work together. In art education, everyone should be able to work and study in a good and professional atmosphere that is safe and transparent, both in teaching and in research. It is crystal clear that undesirable behaviour such as bullying, discrimination, intimidation, sexual harassment, aggression, violence and other forms of transgressive behaviour are unacceptable and must be prevented. -

RESEARCH SUPPORT IN THE NETHERLANDS CURRENT SITUATION SUMMARY Researchers at Dutch institutions of higher education are placing ever-growing demands on the field of computing power, networking services and data storage facilities. Access to a high quality, low threshold ICT infrastructure has become a prerequisite to do research. As such, the need for suitable support in order to simplify access for researchers is growing all the time. Although all universities and research institutions are addressing the issue of research support, each institution is taking an independent approach to the matter. To gain a clearer picture of the different research support options available, SURF approached four institutions: Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and the university medical centres in Leiden (LUMC) and Maastricht (MUMC+). These institutions were asked to answer the following questions: • What is your vision for research support? • What e-infrastructure and associated services are available to researchers? • How is research support organised? • What are your plans for the (immediate) future? The report was drawn up as part of the SURF project entitled Support4research. This report is intended to demonstrate how research supporters can organise their support processes and which services, both their own and those supplied by third parties, they can offer. Based on the descriptions from the institutions, we can conclude that research support is a priority. At each of the four institutions, research support -

Ook is gekeken welke aanvullende kenmerken bedrijven hebben die in korte voorzieningsketens actief zijn: qua bedrijfsgrootte, opvolgingssituatie, etc.
