(^) Denotes Homecoming Scouting #11 Ottawa University (6-2, 5-1): The Braves bounced back from the Sterling defeat two weeks ago to down Southwestern College 82-21 on Saturday at Peoples Bank Field. The OU offense put up 676 yards of total offense while the Brave defense held the Moundbulders to 15 yards of offense in the second half. The OU special teams were special. Josh Stangby returned a kickoff 94 yards for the touchdown and Erik Brown returned a punt 54 yards for a touchdown. Jeff Stamp broke the school record for most PATs in a single game. He finished the afternoon by A Numbers Game going 11-for-11. Luke Lundy became the first Brave since Derrick Ward in 2003 to rush for over 1,000 yards. He needed just 129 yards entering Saturday’s contest and finished the afternoon with 145. OU quarterback Michael Behr was named KCAC Offensive Player of the Week because of his play against Southwestern College last Saturday. He threw for 303 yards and four touchdowns. Behr did all of this only playing 17 plays in the second half. Wesleyan would rattle off 14 unanswered points to close the game including a game winning touchdown catch by Braxton Peck with 25 seconds left as the Coyotes rallied for a 38-34 win over the Threshers on Saturday afternoon at Salina Stadium. The win marks back-to-back victories for the Coyotes since last season when the Wesleyan knocked off Bethel and then Southwestern on consecutive weeks to round out the month of October.
