Llantrisant Branch

The National Union of Railwaymen was formed in 1913 by the amalgamation of three earlier railwaymen’s organisations, the best documented of which, the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, was founded in 1872.

DNUR3/1/1 branch, ASRS, minute book, 1874-1891 10 Jan 1874-10 May 1891 [The volume records the founding of the Llantrisant branch, and lists names, ages, occupations and addresses of the first 400 branch members, 1874-1896. It was on display at NUR headquarters, Unity House, London, during 1987]
