Uffie Släpper Debutalbumet 2010-05-07 08:02 CEST Uffie släpper debutalbumet "Sex, Dreams and Denimjeans" den 9 Juni och kommer till Sverige. 2006 slog Uffie genom med dunder och brak, hennes första singel ”Pop The Glock” tog världen med storm och det fanns ingenting liknande på dåtidens musikscen. Nu tre år senare är den blott tjugotvå-årigen redo att släppa debutalbumet "Sex, Dreams and Denimjeans". Den 9 juni släpps det i Sverige. Frågan på allas läppar är; Var har Uffie gjort de senaste tre åren? Pop The Glock är en sån där fenomenal låt som talar för sig själv, Uffie har varit runt världen tre gånger om med just denna låt i bagaget. Folk runt om i världen frågade efter hennes live-show och själv tyckte hon att det var så roligt att hon glatt fortsatte. “People kept asking us to play and we were have such a good time we couldn't say no!” förklarar den unga sångerskan och underhållaren som av sina vänner kallas för Anna Hartley. Medan Uffie reste världen över innan hon mognade till att göra sitt debutalbum träffade hon en hel rad av internationiella artister av rang. En av dessa var Pharrell Williams som nu finns med på första singeln från albumet ”MC’s can’t kiss” Den 28 Maj står Uffie på Debaser Medis scen, och för alla festivalsugna så besöker hon även Emmabodafestivalen i Augusti. Uffie föddes i Norra Florida, flyttade till Hong Kong med sin familj när hon var fem. Som rebellisk 15-åring flyttade Uffie sedan till den franska huvudstaden och det var där hon började bygga sin musikaliska karriär. Det var en DJ vid namn DJ Feadz från Ed Banger Records som Uffie lärde känna på Paris klubbar som började bana väg för hennes framtida karriär. Hon startade som rappare men var så osäker på sig själv att hon ofta bad publiken att vända ryggen till när hon skulle sjunga. Henns kommande album heter Sex, Dreams and Denim Jeans och har tagit ungefär tre år att sammanställa, den har spelats in på olika platser i Paris när hon fått en chans att åka hem från sitt ständiga turnérande. Tidigare nämnda DJ Feadz och Mr Ozio har båda varit med och producerat albumet och deras speciella sound hörs tydligt på vissa ställen i produktionen. Henns influenser varierar så brett som från Lou Reed, John Hughes, Joy Divisioon och Nina Simone, men Uffie glömmer inte var hon kom från, det är fortfarande en arg, snabbtungad tjej som växte upp mitt i Paris kokande nattliv. Förvånande nog hittar vi även annat på detta mångsidiga album, ”Our Song” är tillexempel en piano och gitarr baserad låt som handlar om när kärlek tar slut, det finns någonting för alla helt enkelt.
