Die Party muss weitergehen, immer weiter. Davon singt Kesha und zieht blank, wann immer sich die Gelegenheit bietet. Auch Uffies Debütalbum will ungestüm und möglichst verschwenderisch von Sex, Partys und anderen feuchten (Teenager-)Träumen erzählen, deshalb heißt es ja: »Sex Dreams And Denim Jeans«. Und deshalb hat die 22jährige Wahlpariserin, die im Alter von 16 Jahren erste Bühnenerfahrungen gemacht hat und derzeit als eine der hippsten Bewohnerinnen des Popzoos gilt, nicht mit ihrer Oma zusammengearbeitet, sondern mit den französischen Party-Beat-Bastlern Mr. Oizo, Mirwais, Feadz und SebastiAn. Robyn, Stockholms platinblonde Stylerin, hat es gerade auf ihrem Album »Body Talk Pt. 1« vorgemacht: Willst du vorn dabei sein, produziere ein radiotaugliches Electroclash- Album. Uffie und ihre Mitstreiter halten sich daran, lassen es bouncen, spielen Peitsche mit der digitalen Snare, arbeiten mit Sub-Basslinien und fetten (Post-)Electro-Beats. Der Unterschied: Uffie kann nicht wirklich singen, also gibt sie meist die Göre, den betont schnodderigen MC. Noch ein Unterschied: »Sex Dreams And Denim Jeans« ist direkter und härter. Es ist das einfachere, aber wildere Album. Wo Robyns Electroclash-Europop silbrig schimmernd von traurigen Robotern träumt, geben einem Uffies Tracks – an die lauten Stücke von Justice und den kompromisslos knallenden Bootyelectro eines DJ Assault erinnernd – einen Tritt in den Hintern.
