Ubuntu 20.04 Post-Installation Configuration Instructions After installing the 64-bit version of Ubuntu Linux 20.04 on your laptop, you will need to further onfigure your laptop to enable you to create and co"pile #$$ progra"s, and also to custo"i%e it for ease of use. &hese onfigurations instru tions are given below. Although it is possible to install packages by dire tly downloading and installing the" -i.e. side-loaded without involving the pa kage "anager., this "ethod is strongly discouraged sin e security patches and updates are not auto"ati ally applied to such apps. 0n addition, you ould inadvertently install "alware on your syste". &herefore, if you wish to side-load apps, at the very least, please "a,e doubly sure that the download site is trustworthy.
