It is constructed over river Ganges to cross the river and is a landmark of Rishikesh. It is said that Lakshman crossed Ganges on jute ropes between the place where this bridge is built. Lakshman Jhula was built in 1939. Ramjhulla is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north-east from the town Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the Sivananda Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal district crossing the river from west to east. Built in the year 1986, the bridge is one of the iconic landmarks of Rishikesh.There are many Hindu ashrams and religious centers established at both sides of the Ganges.It is also a connecting bridge between Sivananda Ashram located in Muni Ki Reti to Gita Bhawan, Parmarth Niketan and other temples located in Swargashram. Though similar in design, this bridge is bigger than Lakshman Jhula which is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) upwards the river stream. This bridge is constructed with the span of 750 feet (230 m). Parmarthdham Parmarth Niketan is situated in the lap of the lush Himalayas, along the banks of the Ganges. The ashram was founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj (1901–1965). Since 1986, Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj is the President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan. As the largest ashram in Rishikesh with over 1000 rooms, Parmarth Niketan provides a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere as well as abundant, beautiful gardens to thousands of pilgrims, who come from all corners of the Earth. The daily activities at Parmarth Niketan include daily yoga specializing in Vinyasa yoga, general Hatha yoga and yoga Nidra. Daily activities also include morning universal prayers and meditation classes, daily satsang and lecture programs, kirtan, a Ganga aarti at sunset attended by hundreds of visitors each day at the shore of Ganges, as well as Nature Cure and Ayurvedic treatment and training. Parmarth Niketan is the home to a 14 feet Shiva statue on the banks of the Ganges which provides a perfect view to the ashram. The divine tree of heaven Kalpavriksha was planted at the premises of this ashram by Vijaypal Baghel of Himalaya Vahini. Swargasram Geeta Bhavan Geeta Bhawan Ashram - About Geeta Bhawan. This is one of the mainly ancient shrine complexes in Rishikesh. The walls of the shrine bear the writings from the well known epics Mahabharata and Ramayana. There is a meditation hall in the complex where the devotees assemble to say their prayers. Hari Ki Pauri It is believed that it is precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. The ghat is on the west bank of Ganges canal through which the Ganges is diverted just to the north. Har Ki Pauri is also the area where thousands of pilgrims converge and the festivities commence during the Kumbha Mela, which takes place every twelve years, and the Ardh Kumbh Mela, which takes place every six years and the Punjabi festival of Vaisakhi Mansa Devi Temple The temple, also known as Bilwa Tirth is one of the Panch Tirth (Five Pilgrimages) within Haridwar. The temple is known for being the holy abode of Mansa Devi, a form of Shakti and is said to have emerged from the mind of the Lord Shiva. Mansa is regarded as the sister of the N?ga (serpent) Vasuki. Shantikunj Ashram Shantikunj is a world-renowned ashram and headquarter of All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP), located in Haridwar. Established in 1971 by Pandit Sriram Sharma Acharya, Shantikunj is a major attraction in Haridwar among visitors in search of spirituality Jain Temple The tirth came up in the 1990's with the blessings of Acharya Shri Padam Sagar Suri Ji Maharaj and with it came an end to the long-pending aspirations of Jains for a spot in the holy city of Haridwar. The entire temple complex, spread over a vast area has been built in Jaisalmer stone in Jain architectural style. Daksha Mahadev Temple Daksheswara Mahadev or Daksha Mahadev Temple is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the town of Kankhal, Haridwar Uttarakhand India. It is named after King Daksha Prajapti , the father of Sati (First wife of Lord Shiva). The card that swiped for payment of the tour’s foreign exchange should be of the cardholder himself/herself 2. The cardholder cannot use his/her card for payment of another person’s tour package 3. If husband, wife and two children are travelling together as a family, husband’s card is acceptable 4. The immediate family/kin, e.g. father can pay for the children; mother can pay for the children stands good. However, the person paying/cardholder should also be among the travellers 5. The FX payment is a part of LRS of the passenger 6. For packages with FX (Foreign Exchange) component only, initial deposit amount collected in INR for booking, shall be adjusted towards the balance FX component at the time of final FX payment 7. The ROE (Rate of Exchange) for the entire FX component of the tour shall be considered as per the prevailing ROE on the day final payment is being made.
