DESCRIPTION Treskillard Farm is a delightful former farmstead in a peaceful rural setting approached from a country lane set within lovely grounds including large garden areas around the farm and barn together with two paddock enclosures, in all extending to approximately 2½ acres. The farmhouse is well presented retaining much rustic character and charm with a wonderful balance between the six reception rooms and four generous bedrooms. The main farmhouse has much internal exposed stonework and beams, some particularly impressive fireplaces to the dining room and breakfast room, woodburning stoves and deeply recessed doors and windows. 4 Ref: LCAA5366 Immediately in front of the house is a delightful walled garden with lawns and paved terraces surrounded by moss covered stone walls featuring several mature trees and flowering shrubs. The entrance from the lane leads through the grounds and around to the rear of the main house, culminating in a courtyard formed by the farmhouse and its various outbuildings. On one side of the courtyard is a self contained two bedroom cottage with reverse level accommodation. On the ground floor are two well presented bedrooms and a bathroom and on the first floor is a delightful sitting room with woodburning stove and high vaulted ceiling, together with a well fitted kitchen/dining room. In a corner of the courtyard is a large two storey stone barn which at one time had planning permission for conversion into a four bedroom dwelling. Although this planning permission has lapsed it may well be possible to re-apply and this would certainly make another desirable dwelling within the former farmstead. Throughout the grounds are a wide variety of further outbuildings including a large detached stone tractor shed near the entrance. The delightful gardens that surround the house are mature, well planted and landscaped with a large pond and two paddock enclosures with a large field shelter and fuel store. In all the grounds extend to approximately 2½ acres. LOCATION Treskillard is a small rural hamlet situated in a delightful area of open countryside in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage site, not far from the north Cornish coast and virtually equidistant from Truro, St Ives and Falmouth. The nearby towns of Camborne and Redruth provide a wide array of leisure, commercial and retail facilities, sports clubs, schools and main line stations with direct access to London Paddington and an approximate travel time of 4½ hours. The road network provides easy access to the A30, 5 Ref: LCAA5366 Cornwall’s main arterial road which provides a largely dual carriageway link all the way north eastwards to Exeter where it joins the M5 to Bristol and A303 to London. Crossing the A30 provides access to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful coastline with wonderful bathing and surfing beaches notably at Gwithian and Portreath and miles of rugged cliff lined coastal walks which can be enjoyed using the South West Coastal Footpath. To the south west the A30 also provides easy access to the coastal resorts of St Ives and Penzance with the former being renowned for the Tate Gallery and a variety of galleries/shops with a strong artistic community. Penzance has a variety of shops and a marina catering for a large number of pleasure craft and providing direct access to the picturesque waters of Mounts Bay, centred around the landmark of St Michael’s Mount. Following lanes to the south, large areas of the south Cornish coast are also within easy reach stretching from Penzance up to the Lizard Peninsula.
