Ramsar Wetlands data set contains boundaries of the 10 existing sites in the State of Tasmania included in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance as follows:

Moulting Lagoon, Logan Lagoon; Lavinia; Pittwater-Orielton Lagoon; Apsley Marshes; East Coast-Cape Barren Island Lagoons; Flood Plain Lower Ringarooma River; Jocks Lagoon; Interlaken; Little Waterhouse Lake.

.Sites are attributed with a name, Central Plan Register (CPR) number, and REFCODE3 which is its unique reference number listed in 'A Directory of Important Wetlands in Australia'. LIST Ramsar Wetlands are a layer of The LIST Cadastral Area.

Ramsar Wetlands - Data Structure

This dataset is available in a number of formats to suit most GIS / Desktop Mapping platforms. Datum is GDA94.

Field Type Description CID INT32 Cadastral Persistent Identifier – The unique database identifier for each cadastral polygon CATEGORY CHAR(60) The description for the primary classification of a cadastral area being the world Heritage Area category NAME CHAR(60) The name of the Ramsar Wetland as recorded in the Nomenclature database REFCODE3 CHAR(30) The unique reference number COMP_AREA DECIMAL(16,3) The computed area of the region in square metres MEAS_AREA DECIMAL(16,3) The measured area of the region in square metres PLAN_REF CHAR(8) A plan registration reference issued by a Plan Authority PLAN_AUTH CHAR(60) The description for the authority under which a plan is registered UFI CHAR(12) Unique Feature Identifier – a unique identifier attached to every representation of a feature instance within The LIST FMP CHAR(12) Feature Metadata Pointer – a code relating to information on lineage and accuracy of each feature CREATED_ON CHAR(12) Date which the region was created in the CadArea table. Format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS
