The Choir has had the occasional small donation from some community councils. Despite being amateur they set themselves high standards and want to be as “professional” as possible. The items requested will help them become fully professional. To provide the choir for the first time with a professional image - A choir is judged not only by how it sings but by image, first impressions when appearing on stage is very important. The choir want to look their best and up until now have worn their own clothes in an agreed colour and worn matching scarves. They want to upgrade their image to match the standard of their singing and would like to have matching professional made dresses and jackets made for each choir member. To provide the choir with portable risers to make the back row more visible. Cor Persain are a small choir with 28 members at present and when performing they stand in a two row formation. Sometimes the back row is not at all visible and they would like the risers to lift the back row to give a tiered effect. -

Sustainable Development 1.1 The Carmarthenshire Well-being Assessment (March 2017) looked at the economic, social, environmental and cultural wellbeing in Carmarthenshire through different life stages and provides a summary of the key findings. The findings of this assessment form the basis of the objectives and actions identified in the Draft Well-being Plan for Carmarthenshire. The Assessment can be viewed via the following link: www.thecarmarthenshirewewant.wales 1.2 The Draft Carmarthenshire Well-being Plan represents an expression of the Public Service Board’s local objective for improving the economic, social, environmental and cultural well- being of the County and the steps it proposes to take to meet them. Although the first Well- being Plan is in draft and covers the period 2018-2023, the objectives and actions identified look at delivery on a longer term basis of up to 20-years. 1.3 The Draft Carmarthenshire Well-being Plan will focus on the delivery of four objectives: Healthy Habits People have a good quality of life, and make healthy choices about their lives and environment. Early Intervention To make sure that people have the right help at the right time; as and when they need it. Strong Connections Strongly connected people, places and organisations that are able to adapt to change. The Carmarthenshire PSB was formed in May 2016, bringing together senior representatives from a number of organisations providing public services to our residents. Our vision is to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural well‐being of the county’s residents by working collaboratively to add value to each other’s services and also to develop innovative approaches to meet the needs of our communities. We have been working together over the last year to ensure we have the right structure in place and the right partners involved to deliver our Well‐being Plan. Our new Delivery Groups have identified key actions to focus the collaborative work to be progressed, looking at how we can do things differently together, and this will involve building on engagement with local communities. As PSB partners we are all committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to improving the social, economic, cultural and environmental well‐being of the people of Carmarthenshire whilst fully respecting the diverse nature of our bilingual communities. -

This is Sport Wales Annual Report & Accounts 2018 - 2019 The Sports Council for Wales and Sports Council for Wales Trust 1 April 2018 – 31 March 2019 Annual Report and Accounts The Annual Report incorporates the Performance Report including the Sustainability Report, and the Accountability Report including Remuneration Report. The Sports Council for Wales has adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Sport Wales is a Sole Trustee of the Sports Council for Wales Trust. History and Statutory Background The Sports Council for Wales (known by its trade name Sport Wales) was established by Royal Charter dated 4 February 1972, with the objectives of “fostering the knowledge and practice of sport and physical recreation among the public at large in Wales and the provision of facilities thereto”. It is financed by annual funding from the Welsh Government and from income generated from its activities. These Statements of Account are prepared pursuant to Article 15 of the Royal Charter for the Sports Council for Wales (Sport Wales) in a form determined by the Welsh Government with the approval of HM Treasury. A copy of the Accounts Direction is available for public inspection at Sport Wales offices at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. The Sports Council for Wales Trust was constituted on 16 May 1972 and is registered as a charity with the Charity Commissioners in England and Wales, with the charitable objectives of: 1. preserving and safeguarding the physical and mental health of the community through physical recreation (including sport) and the education in relation thereto; 2. the provision of facilities for physical recreation (including sport) which shall be available for members of the public at large. -

ANNUAL REPORT 2017/18 CHAIRMAN’S REPORT At the Golf Union of Wales AGM last September the brand “Wales Golf” was launched. As part of the re-branding process Golf Development Wales and the Golf Union of Wales unite under a fresh new identity to coincide with the launch of our new 5-year Strategic Plan. Our vision is to make Golf “Everyone’s Game. Anywhere’. We will create and support an environment in Wales where golf is safe and accessible for everyone to participate, enjoy and progress. We have two versions of our strategy - a summary one page document and a twelve page more detailed document, both areavaiable for download from our website www.walesgolf.org. It is just over 10 years since the Welsh Golfing Union and Welsh Ladies Golf Union became the first of the Home Unions to merge so now is the perfect time to launch a fresh new identity to coincide with a new Strategic Plan 2018-2022. This had led to a much clearer understanding by our partners, members and golfers in general of how we are structured with GDW being fully integrated within Wales Golf with one set of clearly articulated strategic objectives. On a more practical front the re-branding exercise has come with some restructuring resulting in a re-alignment of departments/cost centres i.e. Development, Championship & Rules, Elite Performance and Golf Course (incorporating Handicapping & Course Rating). It has in turn created a number of administrative efficiencies such as one website, one set of accounts one AGM etc The financial challenges the game faces are still apparent to Wales Golf and demonstrates the ongoing need for prudent financial management to enable us to deliver the best possible outcomes for golf whilst balancing the budget. -
