SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR SUPERCARS

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS

1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE 1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “RABBLE.club Sandown 500” (hereinafter referred to as “the Event”) which will also comprise race 24 of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at Sandown International Motor Raceway, Sandown, on 14th – 16th September 2018.

1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS 1.2.1 The Event will be held under the International Sporting Code including Appendices of the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or instructions and any Bulletins issued. 1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International.

1.5 CIRCUIT DETAILS 1.5.1 Track Length: 3.1 kilometres 1.5.2 Direction: Anti-Clockwise 1.5.3 Track Density: Supercars – 32 1.5.4 Notice Board: Located outside the office of the Secretary of the Event on the ground floor of the Race Control Building, in the middle of Pit Lane. 1.5.5 Stewards Office: Located in a demountable building behind Race Control. 1.5.6 DRD Office: Located in a demountable building behind Race Control. 1.5.7 Control Line: Located at the Finish Line and across Pit Exit.

ADMINISTRATION

2.1 ENTRIES 2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2018 Supercars Entry Registration Form. 2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 0830hrs (AEST) on Thursday 13th September 2018. 2.1.3 Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2018 Entry Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing on Thursday 13th September 2018. 2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 1730hrs (AEST) on Thursday 13th September 2018 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change after that time. 2.1.5 Any Entry that has cross entered Drivers, must nominate their final Car pairing prior to 1800hrs (AEST) on Friday 14th September 2018.

2.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING 2.2.1 The Series Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Organisers. 2.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Friday 14th September 2018. 2.2.3 Each entry will be allocated 4 VIP car parking passes to park in the VIP/Teams car park located on Racecourse Drive. All other Team vehicles will be permitted to park in the general car park. 2.2.4 No vehicles are permitted in the paddock after 0800hrs (AEST) Wednesday 12th September 2018.

2.2.5 Each caterer will be allocated 1 transit car pass for delivery purposes. All deliveries must be completed outside of the Event Operating hours as listed in Supplementary Regulation 8.1.1. Cars with this pass must park in the general car park.

2.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS 2.3.1 The Accreditation centre is located at Gate 2 on Racecourse Drive. 2.3.2 The Accreditation centre will be open at the following times: 2.3.2.1 Thursday 13th September 0900 - 1700 2.3.2.2 Friday 14th September 0630 - 1745 2.3.2.3 Saturday 15th September 0630 - 1700 2.3.2.4 Sunday 16th September 0700 - 1600

TECHNICAL

3.1 SCRUTINEERING 3.1.1 Scrutineering will commence at 0830hrs (AEST) on Friday 14th September 2018.

3.2 MINIMUM WEIGHT 3.2.1 In accordance with the requirements of Rule C4.1.1, all additional Drivers that have not competed in a race of the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, will be required for weighing by Supercars Officials at 1030hrs on Friday 14th September 2018, in the scales garage.

3.3 FRONT BRAKE DISCS 3.3.1 Refer to the below updated Schedule C1–5 Brake System and note the new Front Brake Disc and Brake Bobbin, which are mandatory at this Event:

4.2 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY 4.2.1 In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the Bureau of Meteorology is Springvale. http://www.bom.gov.au./places/vic/springvale/

4.3 BRIEFINGS 4.3.1 A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives will be held at 1730hrs (AEST) on Thursday 13th September 2018 in the Vintage Room, located on the 1st floor of the northern end of the grandstand. Entry is via the green walkway at the rear. 4.3.2 A briefing for all Competitors and Drivers will be held at 1800hrs (AEST) on Friday 14th September 2018 in the in the Vintage Room, located on the 1st floor of the northern end of the grandstand. Entry is via the green walkway at the rear.

4.4 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE 4.4.1 Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs (AEST) on Thursday 13th September 2018 in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock.

4.5 PIT STRAIGHT SIGNALLING AREA 4.5.1 A restricted area has been established along the signalling wall area due to a lack of Debris Fencing on the signalling guard rail. Please refer to the attached diagram. 4.5.2 Should a Team have a Car/pit radio failure, the Team must seek the prior approval of the S&TD for a maximum of two (2) Team members to access the area for signalling only. Please refer to the attached diagram. 4.5.3 Teams will be permitted to stand along the signalling guard rail in the restricted area at the end of the race in accordance with Rule D11.5.1.

4.6 PRACTICE 4.6.1 All Drivers are permitted to drive in practice 2 and 4. 4.6.2 Only additional Drivers are permitted to drive in practice 1 and 3.

4.7 RACE FOR THE GRID 4.7.1 Only additional Drivers are permitted to drive in Race for the Grid 1. 4.7.2 Only Primary Drivers are permitted to drive in Race for the Grid 2.

4.8 START PROCEDURE 4.8.1 All Cars exiting Pit Lane prior to the start of a Race must have their Pit Lane speed limiter activated until the Car has passed the starter’s tower.

4.9 PIT STOPS 4.9.1 When stopping to change drivers and when the car is in the pit lane (40km/h section), the driver may only loosen the shoulder straps provided they remain substantially in place over the shoulders.

4.10 FUEL LEVEL ADVISER 4.10.1 At this Event, the Fuel Level Advisor (person who is monitoring the amount of fuel being transferred to the Car), must be attired in accordance with the prescriptions of Rule D22.4.4.

OPERATIONS

5.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK 5.1.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate. 5.1.2 All Team Transporters are required to be split and ready to enter the Supercars paddock on Wednesday 12th September 2018 at 1600hrs (AEST).

5.1.3 Transporter unload must not commence prior to 0800hrs (AEST) on Thursday 13th September 2018. Teams are not permitted to set up any equipment in their garage prior to transporter unload. 5.1.4 Teams are to supply their own padlocks for garages. 5.1.5 Subject to Supplementary Regulation 2.2.5, no passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars Paddock.

5.2 RACE TRACK WALK 5.2.1 Teams are permitted to conduct a Race Track walk on Thursday 13th September 2018 between 1200hrs and 1700hrs (AEST).

5.3 TRANSPORTER DEPARTURE AFTER THE EVENT 5.3.1 Unless otherwise advised by the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate, no Team transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars paddock prior to two (2) hours after the completion of Race 24 on Sunday 16th September 2018.

5.4 SHADE STRUCTURES 5.4.1 Teams are permitted 1 (one) only 6m by 3m shade structure per Car on the apron at the rear of the Pit Garages. All other shade structures are to be placed next to their transporter. 5.4.2 Teams are required to conform with the requirements for Temporary Structures Weighting Requirements, outlined in the Team Induction Brief sent to all Teams under separate cover.

MARKETING

6.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE 6.1.1 Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any subsequent updates as provided by the Supercars Media and Promotions Department.

6.2 GRID WALK 6.2.1 Where permitted, movement of non-Team personnel on and off the grid must only be via the point/s as described in the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives Briefing instructions. 6.2.2 There are no grid walks prior to each Race for the Grid. 6.2.3 Promotional staff, Drivers and crew (up to 8 people per Car) are the only people permitted on the grid in addition to those that are wearing a grid sticker. 6.3 DRIVER INTRODUCTIONS 6.3.1 On Sunday prior to race 24, the Primary Driver and additional Driver will be required at the front of the grid at 1307hrs (AEST) for Driver Introductions.

SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

7.1 EVENT OPERATING HOURS 7.1.1 The Event operating hours for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows (all times are AEST): 7.1.1.1 Friday 14th September 0900 – 1735 7.1.1.2 Saturday 15th September 0830 – after VCS Race for the grid 2 7.1.1.3 Sunday 16th September 0845 – after VCS Race 24

7.1.2 All Competitors are reminded that the permit issued by the City of Greater Dandenong for the Event stipulates that no race engines may be in use outside of the following hours (all times are AEST): 7.1.2.1 Friday 14th September 0800 – 1800 7.1.2.2 Saturday 15th September 0800 – 1800 7.1.2.3 Sunday 16th September 0900 – 1800

7.2 MEDICAL SERVICES 7.2.1 The Medical Centre is located at pit entry and will be operational during the following times (all times are AEST): 7.2.1.1 Thursday 13th September 0900 - 1700 7.2.1.2 Friday 14th September 0700 - 1830 7.2.1.3 Saturday 15th September 0700 - 1830 7.2.1.4 Sunday 16th September 0730 - 1800 7.2.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 7.2.1, please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is: “Your Specific Location” Eg: Garage 1, , enter via Sandown Road, enter the Raceway facility via Gate 5E.

7.3 GOLF BUGGIES 7.3.1 Golf buggies must be road registered. 7.3.2 Teams are only permitted to use Gate 5E at the rear of the paddock (vehicle gate located near Fuel Bund). If Teams are found to be using any gate other than Gate 5E, the owner of Sandown Motorsport Park will require the use of your buggy to be suspended for the remainder of the Event.

7.7 VENUE SECURITY 7.7.1 The 24-hour security contact for the Event can be contacted on: 0402 079 198 7.7.2 A security officer will be located in the paddock area each night from 1700hrs to 0700hrs AEST, commencing on the evening of Wednesday 12th September and concluding on the morning of Monday 17th September. Teams wishing to work during the night are welcome to do so; however, the Sandown Road and over pass gate will be closed at approximately 2000hrs AEST. For entry or exit to the venue after this time, please contact the 24hour security.

7.8 ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE PROPERTY 7.8.1 Children in any restricted areas including the paddock must be under the direct supervision of an adult. The Promoter reserves the right to have any offenders removed. 7.8.2 Under no circumstances are stakes to be driven into the bitumen surface.

7.9 SANDOWN RACEWAY VENUE REGULATIONS 7.9.1 Attached is a copy of the Sandown Raceway Venue Regulations. These Regulations must be adhered to, except where in conflict with the Supercars Operations Manual, Supplementary Regulations, Further Supplementary Regulations, Bulletins or any instructions from Supercars for this Event.

7.10 HEALTH AND SAFETY 7.10.1 In line with the Victorian Health and Safety Act, the Supercars Paddock will be a smoke- free zone for the duration of the Event.

7.11 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION 7.11.1 Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a Team or Competitor is prohibited. 7.11.2 This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the Event area defined as the Event area. 7.11.3 It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area during the Event period. 7.11.4 A breach of this prohibition will result in the exclusion from the Event for any offending Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn. The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of breaching Civil Aviation Authority (CASA) regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing significant numbers of people.
