Our winery is placed in Tomelloso, heart of DO La Mancha (Spain). With more of 30 years of experience in the sector, we export our wines to several countries, like UK, Germany, China, etc.
Yearly, we collect about 18 millions of kilograms from varieties like Airén, Macabeo, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Verdejo, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Petit Verdot, etc. We only work with grapes from our own vineyards: 2,500 hectares placed in La Mancha, that let to control the full process of maduration and select the best grapes to elaborate our wines.
In our proposal, you can find brands with an important prestige in Europe: Añil, Torre de Gazate and Finca Cerrada. Moreover, we offer a competitive range of modern wines: Xtales!, Dulce Tentatione, etc. and organic wines: Viñedo Vida, AlSur Natura, etc. All our references are Vegan Friendly.

VINICOLA DE TOMELLOSO - History
This exciting project dates back to the 19th century, when the wine was made in the underground cellars in the homes of the families of the current owners. In 1986, a group of brave entrepreneurs was driven by the spirit of innovation that prevailed in a region where the first signs could be seen of its superb potential to produce quality and modern wines, basically thanks to the soil and favourable climate. They therefore decided to band together to build Vinicola de Tomelloso. They have been driven even since then by the sole purpose of making and marketing quality wines.
In 1989, the winery became a reality equipped with the most innovative technical means for the making of quality wines and a plan to reorganise the vineyards was put in motion, which involved renewing the plantations of Airen vines, a native variety, as well as introducing new ones: Macabeo or Viura and Sauvignon Blanc. Given the almost total lack of red varieties, new plantations of Cencibel or Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, etc., began to appear.
In 1991, appeared the first bottled wine: AÑIL. This wine, made with grapes Macabeo, meant a new concept of the Manchego white wines and revolutioned the bottled wines in the region. Soon after, appears its first bottled red wine with the brand TORRE DE GAZATE, also having a major impact in the world of bottling.
VINICOLA DE TOMELLOSO - Environment
TOMELLOSO is located in the center of the region of La Mancha, northeast of the province of Ciudad Real, and almost at the apex where it joins Cuenca, Albacete and Toledo. Guadiana River borders the term by the south and the west, coming from the nearby Lagunas of Ruidera. Tomelloso is located in the heart of the land of Don Quixote, is a modern and active city, fully integrated in today's changing world and able to face the challenges of today's society.
Furthermore, aware of its past and culture, retains all its values and traditions that brings history and, how cannot be otherwise, recognized like a city of La Mancha. Very important center of wine production. In the subsoil (underground) of Tomelloso counted about 4,000 caves that appeared before the big wine storage needs and today are remembering the importance of this sector has always had in this city.

VINICOLA DE TOMELLOSO – DO La Mancha
La Mancha is an ideal area for growing grapes because the yield per hectare is not very high and of premium quality. In addition, the health of their vines is extraordinary due to the long hours of sunshine they receive and their great ripening cycle. Moreover, the versatility of their land has enabled them to introduce a vast variety of grapes from around the world without problems, complementing the indigenous grapes.
La Mancha is also the largest wine region in the world with around 300,000 hectares of vineyards within its area of production, of which only about 165,000 are able to produce wines with "designation of origin”, it is one of the most welcomed vineyards across Europe with DO.
