That means that similar items are grouped together rather than a random assortment on each table. For example, Gatsby’s Home Goods includes all those handy home and garden items while The Cat’s Meow Children’s store offers toys and games for your children or grandchildren. AND In addition to the Dine and Dash restaurant gift card table, we are offering Bugsy’s Buy It Now. This “store” features an assortment of items that you simply buy for the price listed – no bidding and no waiting! SILENT AUCTION BIDDING To bid on an item you will clearly fill out a bid card with your bidder number, the item number, and the amount of your bid. Before bidding, check the Bid Board for the item’s posted high bid and raise that bid a minimum of $5. Then put your bid card in the basket provided. The table host will post the high bids on the board as quickly as they can. If you really want the item, don’t hesitate to go to the top dollar amount right away to save work for the table host. Remember, our goal is not to get deals; our goal is to raise money. All silent auction bidding will start at 6pm. The first bid board will close at 6:30 PM, then each bid board will follow in numerical order, approximately every 5-10 minutes. The master of ceremony will announce upcoming Bid Board closings and give some time for final bids to be made. When the countdown is completed the table host will pull the basket and the bids will be closed. If there are two or more bids for the same amount, the bidders will be called to the table to continue the bidding until there is a winner. DINE AND DASH TABLE Face Value Restaurant Gift Cards! ELECTRONICS RAFFLE We are raffling off some great electronics (see page 8 for details). Tickets are $25 and we will only sell 150. Raffle winners will be announced before the live auction. 5 STUDENT SPONSORSHIP Before the live auction the auctioneer will announce “Sponsor A Student.” At this time, guests will have the opportunity to raise their numbered bid card and commit to sponsor a student(s) for a week ($250) or a month ($900). When a given sponsorship time frame is called out, please raise your bidder card. The auction volunteers will record your bidder number and your sponsorship will show up as a line item on your receipt at the end of the night. LIVE AUCTION The Live Auction will begin at 8:00pm and will continue until all items are auctioned off. Please pay close attention to the current item up for bid by watching the overhead screen for the description of the item and its item number. Our auctioneer from Miedema Asset Management Group will present an item up for bid and briefly describe it. He will then start the bidding with a dollar amount. To bid, simply raise your bid card until the auctioneer acknowledges your bid. CASHING OUT An invoice listing your purchases will be available at checkout. Please look it over for accuracy. Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to NorthPointe Christian Schools), or credit card. Check-out opens at 8:15pm. We cannot check anyone out before 8:15pm We appreciate your patience!
