When we're talkin about "overdubs" on Beatles records, I can say, the first single they recorded(11.Sept '62), "Love me do/P.S. I love you", the drummers name was Andy White. Ringo was temporarily demoted to play tambourine on "Love me do" and Maracas on "P.S. I love you". There is also an "original" version (on "Past Masters Volume one") with Ringo on the drums on "Love me do", recorded 4. September 1962. All the others, as I have understand from the book following their whole CD collection "The Beatles Box", have Ringo on drums. He stated that on some songs the snare drum had many multi layers, I think one was Ticket To Ride. If you really think about that song you can hear it.     WRITING ASSIGNMENT Record Review You are going to write a record review of an album that is deemed significant in Rock Music. Discuss any other elements you find compelling, i.e., imagery from the lyrics or lack thereof, the use of and/or role of instrumentation, tempos, solos, vocals, etc. Section 3 Summarize your experience.
