While each character has her own particular fixation, the protagonist is Tsukimi Kurashita, whose love of jellyfish stems from memories of her deceased mother taking her to an aquarium and linking the lace-like tendrils of jellyfish to the Princess Jellyfish 4: 4 of Princess Jellyfish 4: 4. Tsukimi hopes to become an illustrator and is an awkward girl terrified of social interaction, attractive people and the prospect of formal work. Tsukimi meets the stylish Kuranosuke Koibuchi, the illegitimate son of a politician, who cross-dresses to avoid the Princess Jellyfish 4: 4 of politics and to feel closer to his mother. Tsukimi keeps the secret of his masculinity from her man-hating housemates, even as she is troubled by the intimacy of having a man in her room at times. Amamizukan's neighborhood is under threat of redevelopment, as opportunists aim to turn the quaint area into a more cosmopolitan region, with many Princess Jellyfish 4: 4 the buildings being demolished to make room for hotels and shopping centers. Although Amamizukan's tenants fear and loathe attractive people, they are helped by Kuranosuke who does Princess Jellyfish 4: 4 want to see Amamizukan destroyed. Princess Jellyfish began as a manga written and illustrated by Akiko Higashimura. It was serialized in Kodansha 's Kiss manga magazine from October 25, in the 21st issue of that year to August 25, in the October issue of that year. An episode anime television series adaptation produced by Brain's Basedirected by Takahiro Omoriand written by Jukki Hanada aired in Japan between October 15 and December 31, on Fuji Television 's Noitamina programming block. Character designs were provided by Kenji Hayama and the music was composed by Makoto Yoshimori. Even though Aizawa is over the moon for Azuma, she won't back down from her worldview as she goes tit-for-tat with him on the subjects of men, women, and romance. It's in this banter and occasional bickering that Aizawa and Azuma display a blustery yet somehow easy chemistry with one another. Both characters usually come to an understanding by the end of each chapter, which is then immediately undercut by some gag that emphasizes that they're both still kids who lack familiarity with the opposite sex.

    ELAS FAZEM MANGÁ: DISCUTINDO A IMPORTÂNCIA DAS MULHERES QUADRINISTAS NO MERCADO JAPONÊS RESUMO As mulheres quadrinistas são historicamente invisibilizadas, tratadas como exceção e o mercado de quadrinhos é visto como predominantemente masculino. Esse processo de exclusão foi tão forte que, no Ocidente, incluiu o público consumidor; mulheres e meninas não são percebidas como leitoras de quadrinhos, permanecendo, durante muito tempo, à margem da indústria. A chegada do mangá aos mercados ocidentais fez toda diferença para ajudar a mudar este cenário, pois nesse aspecto, o mercado japonês é uma exceção. No Japão, as mulheres produzem quadrinhos, os chamados de mangás, não são tratadas com exceção e conseguem circular com facilidade em um mercado extremamente segmentado, produzindo tanto material feito exclusivamente para o público feminino, quanto obras que teriam o público masculino como seu alvo prioritário. Em nossa comunicação discutiremos, utilizando a teorias feministas, a importância da representatividade feminina no mercado japonês de mangá, e como isso possibilita que questões de interesse das mulheres – as imposições de papéis de gênero, o primeiro amor, a experiência da maternidade, casamento, aborto, mercado de trabalho, anorexia, entre outros – sejam tratadas dentro de materiais de grande divulgação. Discutiremos, também, o impacto que a chegada dos mangás feitos por mulheres no mercado Ocidental, Norte Americano e Brasileiro, tem auxiliado no empoderamento das meninas e mulheres que desejam fazer quadrinhos no Ocidente.
