Firstly, various simulation conditions were tested for the live CAT through Revised: Sep. 3, 2020 an item response theory-based calibrated item bank. The application of the Accepted: Sep. 19, 2020 simulated CAT was based on data from e-exams administered by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE). Results of the first stage of the study were used to determine the rules for starting, continuing, and terminating the live CAT exam for KEYWORDS ECODL. Secondly, the live CAT exam was applied according to the results of the Computerized adaptive simulation. Candidate drivers (n = 280) who had taken the ECODL as an e-test participated in the second stage. Thirdly, the opinions of the individuals who took testing, the computer-based test towards the computer-based testing application were Driving licence exam, mapped. -

In western culture names may consist of two main elements like the name “William”, it means “Wille or will”, or resolution and “helm”- or helmet, as the result of that the name “William” means “will helmet”, but not the “helmet” of the will. US-China Education Review B, March 2017, Vol. 7, No. 3, 115-125 doi: 10.17265/2161-6248/2017.03.001 D DAVID PUBLISHING A Research on the Cognitive Structure of Middle School Students Regarding Concepts of Nature and Environment Mustafa Kahyaoğlu, Muzaffer Çatak Siirt University, Siirt, Turkey The purpose of this study is to reveal the cognitive structure of middle school students regarding concepts of nature and environment. In this study, phenomenological pattern, a form of qualitative research was used. The study group comprised 137 middle school students, who were studying in schools located in Siirt City in Turkey that are part of the provincial directorate of national education during the Fall Semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. In this study, the Word Association Test was used as the data collection tool. In this Word Association Test, middle school students were given two key concepts—nature and environment. They were asked to write down words that came to mind and that they associated with these concepts, and to use them to make a sentence in a given time. In the analysis of the data obtained, a frequency table was used, composed of the responses that related to the key concepts of nature and environment. Additionally, in accordance with data received, a concept network was formed to establish the students’ cognitive structure related to concepts of nature and environment. According to the study findings, middle school students were not able to sufficiently relate to concepts of nature and environment in their cognitive structures and their minds showed some disconnections. -

Submission Date:24/04/2018 Acceptance Date:05/06/2018 Abstract The aim of this research is to examine the anxieties and attitudes of university students towards English language courses. It is a survey type study of quantitative research methods. The population of the study consists of students from a state university in Turkey. The sample consists of 700 students determined by stratified sampling method. In the study, as data collection tools, English language anxiety scale and English language attitude scale were used. In this study, it was concluded that students with preparatory education had less anxiety scores than the students without preparatory education. It was found that freshman students feel less anxious about English lessons than junior and senior students. It was also found that females’ attitude scores towards English were higher than males’ and freshman students have higher attitude scores towards English lesson. © 2018 JLLS and the Authors - Published by JLLS.
