The Corporate Banking Department manages the ICBC Zurich Branch’s overall relationships with large corporations. We help our clients meet their objectives and challenges in financing, risk , working capital, cash management and investments. Clients benefit from dedicated coverage provided by experienced corporate bankers, who deliver the bank’s extensive product platform and coordinate with ICBC overseas networks in more than 40 countries and regions. We leverage the capital strength of ICBC and extend credit to help clients grow their business.

Job Description

The branch is seeking a talent who has wide network and close relationship with leading Swiss Exporters (e.g. top 5 companies in main industries), strong ability in client acquisition, as well as solid experience in corporate banking and especially Trade Finance. The incumbent will assume the business development manager role in managing and developing client relations covering Trade Finance clients. Tasks for the incumbent will include business development, identification of opportunities and relationship building; preparation of business documentations such as pitch books; financial analysis incl. business plans, valuations and transaction structuring; transaction execution tasks e.g. initiation of due diligence processes, client and counter-party management; and post-invest management.

Key Responsibility:

1. Work under the general direction of the Head of Corporate Banking Department. 2. Develop strategy and lead by example to acquire, build and maintain a holistic relationship management role with top clients for Trade Finance. 3. Focus on growing the portfolio, identifying and securing new business opportunities and increasing the bank’s share of wallet across the client base. 4. Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with Trade Finance solutions. Work closely with the relationship management team and product departments for possible cross-selling 5. Coordinate with other team members of corporate business function 6. Achieve annual target allocated by the Department and maximize the bank-wide revenues through cross-selling. 7. Maintain and implement internal policies and procedures, as well as other work assigned by the Department.

Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or other similar education with excellent grades; 2. 5 years or above of work experience in Trade Finance and/or Transaction Banking with focus on Trade Finance, 3. Demonstrable sell-side deal exposure; 4. Strong analytic skills and good knowledge of Trade Finance and risk mitigation. CFA / FRM/ACCA preferred; 5. Demonstrable understanding of the Swiss regulatory environment for banking products and business; 6. High motivation, commitment and ability to act independently; 7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; 8. Team player with excellent communication and presenting skills; 9. Fluency (both written and verbal) in English & German is essential; French and Italian will be an advantage.
