Emilie is diagnosed with pneumonia. Ethan is still angry with Cal, but when they realise that Emilie doesn’t have long to live, they have to make a decision together - one which has life-changing consequences. Fitness fanatic and student Caitlin 24, from Llanelli spends a jaw-dropping £300-400 on Botox and lip enhancers every few months and £400-500 a month on food to get her body ready for a competition. She also has three gym memberships and spends three hours in the gym five to six days a week. Best friends Marc from Aberdare and Corey from Swansea are back and being put through their paces with a celebrity-style photo shoot by agent Mark Paul Jones. They’re hoping to become the new Ant and Dec but do they find it easy to be in front of the camera or will they struggle? Dedicated to female composers, this programme showcases some of the latest orchestral music from composers in Wales. From the heroine’s anguish in Rhian Samuel’s Clytemnestra for soprano and orchestra, to Hilary Tann’s ‘deepest respect’ to the victims of Tiananmen Square in The Open Field. Conducted by Tecwyn Evans, soprano Ruby Hughes features alongside three new pieces by Sarah Lianne Lewis, Mared Emlyn and Lynne Plowman. Jo Marriott 5 RHOD GILBERT’S WORK EXPERIENCE Tuesday, March 8 BBC One Wales, 10.40pm #RhodsWorkEx After trying his hand at being a journalist, ghost hunter and rugby coach this series; it’s time to really put Rhod through his paces with some tough, manual labour. This week he’s going to be a miner. In this edition of Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience he’s off to Ffos y Fran near Merthyr Tydfil to help dig the biggest hole in the UK. He learns how to drive a massive dump truck with a payload of 100 tons - or, in Rhod’s words, a million pound mobile mansion - and then joins the explosives team to blow the place up. Next he travels to Yorkshire to join the team at the UK’s deepest mine. Rhod says he gets claustrophobic opening a tin of sardines - so is he really cut out for the sweltering conditions and 40-degree heat in dusty rock salt tunnels, nine kilometres out underneath the North Sea? Melfyn Clwyd Roberts 6 BBC NATIONAL ORCHESTRA OF WALES: HANDEL, BACH, VIVALDI AND BIBER - LIVE ON RADIO 3 Tuesday, March 11 BBC Radio 3, 7.30pm Nicola Heywood Thomas presents a Baroque-themed concert live from the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, with period specialist Rachel Podger. Rachel takes to the stage as violinist and director of the ensemble, taking the place of a conductor in this evening’s concert. As musical director of Brecon Baroque Festival, Rachel brings both her knowledge of the Baroque period and directing to the forefront, as she leads the orchestra on a journey through some of her favourite works from the mid-1600s and early 1700s. This programme follows a journey from wartime to celebration, sorrow to sheer joy. Megan threatens to go to the police if Siôn doesn’t bring his relationship with Gwyneth to an end. Will Diane reconcile with Jason and Sara and welcome them back to Bryntirion? Mark’s future hangs in the balance when Dewi’s phone is found by the police in Maes y Deri, but who moved it there and why? How will this affect Mark’s case? Gwawr Jones 8 .
