COMPLEMENTARY INFORMATION [3] Super HICAS The Super HICAS (High Capacity Actively-controlled Suspension) activates the hydraulic cylinder on the rear member in response to vehicle speed and steering wheel angle to create stability oriented turning or response oriented turning. At turn-in situations, as cornering force is generated by the front wheels, the rear wheels are momentarily turned in the direction opposite the front wheel angle (opposite phase steer). The rear wheels also generate cornering force in the direction of generating the vehicle yaw to help the car change directions as sooner as the steering wheel is manipulated. During this time period, the rear wheels begin to turn in the same direction as the front wheels as the yaw moves toward fixed values and the vehicle begines to move lateliary.

J A JA-137 COMPLEMENTARY INFOMATION [5] ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All with Electronically Controlled Torque Split) The ATTESA E-TS used in this model is controlled by the E-TS control unit to optimally distribute driving power to the front and rear wheels. The E-TS control unit controls the transmission torque of the wet multiple-plate clutch built into the transfer box.
