Swimming is New Zealand’s second most popular recreational activity with 1 million New Zealanders choosing swimming as their preferred activity (Sport NZ 2013/14 Active New Zealand Survey). Our vision is to inspire enjoyment, excellence and pride in swimming by all New Zealanders. Our mission is to grow and strengthen swimming by providing services to the members of Swimming New Zealand, supporters and the general public. With strong leadership and governance from our Board and Management Team and with the tireless dedication of our passionate staff, we deliver our vision. Swimming New Zealand provides advice and leadership to the New Zealand community on all matters pertaining to swimming. Our activities can be separated into three specific areas: education, competitive swimming and high performance.
