Golden Bears Have Had At Least One Player Selected In 31 Of Last 32 Years NFL Thursday-Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 2019 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place in downtown Nashville this Thursday-Saturday, April 25-27. Thursday’s first round is slated to begin at 7 pm CT/5 pm PT, while Friday’s second day featuring the second and third rounds starts at 6 pm CT/4 pm PT. Rounds four through seven get underway Saturday at 11 am CT/9 am PT. ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, NFL Network and ESPN Deportes will televise the 2019 NFL Draft live and provide extensive coverage of the event. • Cal has had 238 players selected in the NFL Draft since the event began in 1936 including 27 first-round selections and two No. 1 overall picks in ( Rams, 2016) and (, 1975). • Cal has had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft for 31 of the last 32 years. Cal had at least one player selected in the NFL Draft for 28 consecutive years (1987-2014), one in the top three rounds for eight (2007-14) and two in the first four rounds for five (2010-14) before those streaks were all snapped when no Cal player was taken in the 2015 NFL Draft. • Cal’s six quarterbacks selected in the first round of the NFL Draft is tied for the third-most by any program behind only Notre Dame (9) and USC (7) while equaling Stanford (6) and UCLA (6). Cal’s list of first-round quarterbacks includes (1965 – No. 5, ), Bartkowski, Rich Campbell (1981 – No. 6, ), (2003 – No. 19, ), (2005 – No. 24, Green Bay Packers) and Goff. • Prior to Goff’s 2016 selection the most recent first-round NFL Draft pick from Cal was when he was taken in the first round with No. 24 overall selection by the . • Goff, Jordan and Rodgers are among five first-round NFL Draft picks from Cal are currently on NFL rosters of the teams they were drafted by. The two others – (2009 – No. 21, Browns) and Tyson Alualu (2010 – No. 10, ) – are currently on NFL teams that they were not drafted by with Mack now a member of the Atlanta Falcons and Alualu on the roster of the . • Cal had two players selected in the most recent NFL Draft in 2018 in Devante Downs (, seventh round, No. 225 overall) and defensive end James Looney (Green Bay Packers, seventh round, No. 232 overall). • The most Cal players selected in a single NFL Draft were the 10 chosen in 1952, while Cal's six players picked in the 1977, 2008 and 2012 drafts are tied for the second-most in school history.
