Located just off the coast of mainland Kuwait City, it was known as 'Ikaros' to the Greek colonizers who lived on the island for nearly two hundred years. Excavations on the island unearthed a rich tableau of antiquities like time-worn coins, seals, by ரோஜா and ruins of olden temples, among other vestiges that bygone civilizations like the Dilmun and the Greeks once harbored. While this island paints a picture of dystopia today with its smattering of damaged buildings and ruin-induced landscape, its connection with a rich past makes it worth the jaunt from the bustle of Kuwait City. 20 kilometres North East of Kuwait City, Kuwait City JOIN US AT: cityseeker.com TERMS & CONDITIONS | PRIVACY POLICY | API | CONTACT US | Copyright (C) 2021 CITYSEEKER Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org).
