The story features fearless optimist Anna, who teams up with mountain man Kristoff on a journey to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped their kingdom in eternal winter. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen,” “Frozen” is directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” Oscar®-nominated “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, Oscar-nominated “Wreck-It Ralph”), who also wrote the screenplay. It is produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” Oscar-nominated “The Princess and the Frog”), and features the voices of Kristen Bell (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” Showtime’s “House of Lies”), Idina Menzel (Broadway’s “Wicked,” TV’s “Glee”), Jonathan Groff (“Taking Woodstock,” Broadway’s “Spring Awakening”) and Josh Gad (“Jobs,” Broadway’s “The Book of Mormon”). The film features eight original songs from Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit,” “Winnie the Pooh”) and Tony® winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”), and an original score by Christophe Beck (“The Muppets,” Oscar®-winning short “Paperman”).
