I then noticed a dad walking into the building after visiting his daughter during recess. This Air Force father was dressed in his military fatigues. The third grader suddenly stopped, look at the man, and perfectly saluted him. He then continued quietly on his way outside. I can’t explain how touching it was to witness this display of respect from a child; it almost brought me to tears. I will never forget it.” Thank you Phillip Harris for doing something respectful when you didn’t think someone was looking.
