Tipp City Exempted Village Schools

Volume 5, Issue 18 Quick News January 21, 2020 Superintendent’s Thoughts Dr. Gretta Kumpf I am truly passionate about Tipp City Schools! I take great pride in celebrating student achievements and seeing our teachers create extraordinary learning opportunities. We have a tradition of excellence that is admired by many and a standard the community embraces. This is something that will continue long after my retirement in late summer. The Board of Education is responsible for hiring the district’s next superintendent. It is an extremely important task! In order to attract the most qualified candidates, the BOE hired a consulting firm that specializes in assisting boards seeking superintendents. One part of the process includes hosting Focus Groups to gather input from staff, students, and community organizations. Another element is the Community Forum (see below for details). During the focus groups and community forum the consultants will gather input that will be used to create a unique profile of what the community is looking for in its next superintendent. Information will be presented to the board with a profile of desired leadership characteristics. I encourage you to be a part of this process and the future of Tipp City Schools. THANK YOU! WE are TIPP! “Together” we are Extraordinary

Your Input is Needed Superintendent Search Community Forum The Board of Education is seeking input from the community on the characteristics, skills, and experiences that it should consider in evaluating candidates for the district’s next superintendent. All community members are invited to participate. Consultants from K12 Business Consulting, hired by the BOE, will facilitate the listening session. January 23, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tippecanoe High School, Commons Community members who are not able to attend the session are encouraged to complete the brief questionnaire located on the district’s home webpage under District News. Please follow the directions to submit all responses on this important decision. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Theresa Dunaway, BOE President, at [email protected]

The Board of Education and the consulting firm also invite community members to provide input by filling out a brief questionnaire: SuperintendentSearchQuestionnaire. Please follow the directions at the end of the questionnaire to submit responses. All questionnaires are due January 24, 2020. Page 2 Quick News

Freshman Amelia Campbell won Best Delegate and Best Position Paper for her work representing Western Antarctica in the 2100: Race to Relocate Committee. Tippecanoe High School Students Host Pre-schoolers

In order for students enrolled in the Tippecanoe High School Child Development class to have hands-on experience with children, they hosted a mini- preschool for children 2-5 years old. The day included art, music, science fun, story time and snack. Students were responsible for planning and implementing the activities for our future Red Devils! Page 3 Quick News
