At the next Congress, I wondered if all these musical treasures had ever been printed. Some research revealed that the late Bob High had put together three collections of Go songs, but the last of these appeared in 1990. Very few people had these song books, and some, like me, weren’t even aware that they existed. While new songs had been printed in the American Go Journal, there was clearly a need for a new collection of Go songs. Last year I decided to do whatever I could to bring the AGA Song Book up to date. I wanted to collect as many of the old songs as I could find, as well as the new songs that had been written since Bob High’s last song book.     2007 ANNUAL REPORT NEW YORK • NEW JERSEY • CHICAGO • SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA The All Stars Project, Inc. (ASP) is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting human development through the use of an innovative performance-based model. The ASP creates outside of school, educational and performing arts activities for tens of thousands of poor and minority young people. It sponsors community and experimental theatre, develops leadership training and pursues volunteer initiatives that build and strengthen communities. The ASP actively promotes supplementary education and the performance-learning model in academic and civic arenas. Dear Friends, Twenty-seven years ago, the All Stars Project, Inc. (ASP) began by producing neighborhood talent shows in a church basement in the South Bronx. Volunteer-driven, unfunded and unrecognized, the All Stars Project invited children from New York City’s poorest neighborhoods to create something together; to put on a show. Young people came. And they just kept on coming. Nearly three decades later, the ASP – now headquartered in New York City at our 42nd Street Performing Arts and Development Center (pictured left) – is still volunteer-driven (our volunteers are our MVP’s), fully funded (100% privately) and widely recognized for the success of our programs and approach. Most importantly, the kids are still coming – in New York and Newark, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and Boston, Atlanta and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Some have called it ‘grassroots show business.’ In the pages of this 2007 Annual Report, you will read about the performances ASP is producing.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM ET. Following the Jacks’ elimination from the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the team is focusing on picking up points in the league. The Jacks take on Tampa Bay after facing a 4-1 defeat to North Carolina FC in the U.S. Open Cup, eliminating the Independence from the tournament for a second straight year. Alex Martinez’s converted penalty kick proved to be the only consolation against North Carolina FC. The ​ ​ Independence last played a USL league game in a 3-1 comeback victory away at Orlando City B on Saturday, May 27th. The game saw goals from Enzo Martinez, David Estrada, and Jorge Herrera following an early Orlando goal. ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ The Independence turn their focus to the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The Rowdies most recently faced defeat at the hands of Miami FC in the U.S. Open Cup. Having the second-best goal differential in the USL’s Eastern Conference, the Rowdies currently sit second in the USL Eastern Conference table. The Rowdies’ potent attack is lead by Georgi Hristov, who tied for the fourth-most goals in the USL with five goals in 2017. This will be the ​ ​ first-ever matchup between the two clubs as the Rowdies entered the USL this past off-season.
