The son of Indian Ridge was a high-class sprinter for the Duke of Devonshire, trained by James Toller. A winner on debut at two, he was second in both the Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes and Gr.2 Flying Childers Stakes in 1996. At three he landed his biggest success when defeating Royal Applause by just under two lengths in the Gr.1 July Cup, with the likes of Indian Rocket, Bahamian Bounty and Coastal Bluff further behind. This victory meant that he was crowned Champion European Three-Year-Old that season. Retired to Whitsbury Manor Stud at the end of his four-year-old career, he went on to produce quality runners, including Borderlescott, a dual winner of the Gr.1 Nunthorpe Stakes. This season he has been represented by Pearl Secret, who Others included the speedy two-year-olds Godfrey Street, landed the Gr.2 Temple Stakes at Haydock Park in May, the two- winner of the Flying Childers Stakes, and Prolific, winner of the year-old Lathom, winner of the Weatherbys Super Sprint, and Gr.2 Richmond Stakes. Deacon Blues was the winner of the Easy Road, winner of the seven-furlong Gr.3 Polar Cup in July and inaugural Gr.2 British Champions Sprint Stakes.
