The experts' role will be not to suggest "ready-made" solutions to a given problem but to present different approaches complying with European standards, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses. Participants are encouraged to reflect on these examples and solutions best adapted to their situation. All initiatives envisaged by the programme will involve participants from both banks of the Nistru/Dniestr river and will aim at exchanging useful experience, identifying common problems and addressing possible joint solutions. The programme relies on a strong partnership with governmental institutions in Chisinau, as well as de facto authorities in Tiraspol, and local NGOs. Equality, transparency and dialogue are the three cornerstones of the CBM programme. The project will promote increased awareness and better knowledge of international and European standards in the field of freedom of media as well as compliance with the ECHR, the European Social Charter etc. Totals For: Capital vs 0 0 0 0 0 450 000 Recurrent: Recurrent - consultancy services (1) Totals For: Type Of 0 0 0 0 0 450 000 Assistance: Project Support (1) Type Of Assistance: Technical Assistance Capital vs Recurrent: Mode of Payment Unallocated Fostering Active Ageing in The project will contribute Within the scope of this 01/07/2017 Grant 160 - OTHER SOCIAL 70 000 70 000 Straseni/ Repulic of to the implementation of project elderly living in INFRASTRUCTURE AND Moldova SDG 10 Reduce Straseni should develop an SERVICES Inequalities within and increased autonomy and among countries in the physical and psychological Republic of Moldova, well-being in their lives. focussing on sub goals They should be fostered in 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4 in order participating actively within to ensure the inclusion of their communities and be elderly. empowered to claim their rights. The article also explores how individuals live, maintain and pass down their ethnic identity through media practices and socialisation areas like family, school, church where daily lives are spent. In-depth interviews were conducted with 28 people in April-May 2018 in the Gagauz Autonomous Region via the ethnographic technique. Our findings revealed that the Gagauzi lived, constructed and transmitted their ethnic identities in a “limited” rather than holistic way in their socialisation practices. Contrary to expectations, there is clear evidence that the Gagauz identity has begun to erode rather than strengthen in the post-autonomy period. We found their perception of Russian as their mother tongue besides their ethnic language has weakened Gagauz and the proliferation of mixed marriages leads to an erosion in their ethnic identity. The Gagauz identity, which has become more vulnerable and open to global influences, has ceased to be stationary and localised, but has begun to be 1Araştırma Görevlisi, Erzurum Teknik Üniversitesi, Edebiyat Fakültesi Sosyoloji reshaped by global conditions in line with transnational mobility.

TDD/JofEL Winter 2013 Monah Kosmas Șarț Ayoz San-Franţiskal ı İoanın adına manastır Kaliforniya CONTEMPORARY GAGAUZ AND THE TRANSLATION OF RELIGIOUS TEXTS BÜÜNKÜ GAGAUZ DİLİ H EM DİN TEKSTLERİNİN ÇEVİRİLERİ Gagauz is considered to be one of the endangered Turkic languages. As Todur Zanet explains: The winds of history and state politics have scattered and destroyed most of our nation. Within two hundred years the number of Gagauz has dropped from 1,200, to le ss than 200,000. Wars and geopolitical games have scattered our nation from thethe Balkans to Bessarabia, from Bessarabia to Siberia, to Kazakhstan, the Caucasus, the Ukraine, Brazil, Argentina, and still other lands, and have squandered them with famine and the politics of assimilation. 1 In reality we do not know which direction the winds of history blow. Certainly it is possible that they can blow like a tempest that scatters the Gagauz people and their language. But it is not necessary for us to think in th is way, because we know that the Gagauz people themthemselselvesves have plans for their language to have a future. Let us take a look at what Güllü Karanfil writes in her article, ‘The Situation of the Gagauz Language in Gagauzia’: • The prime minister and those around him should be an example in speaking Gagauz often. • Those who oversee children should know Gagauz. • A committee should be formed about terminology for the correct use and writing of Gagauz. • Courses in the Gagauz language should be opened for government workerworkerss.. • Advertisements, posters, the names of stores, etc. should appear in Gagauz.

  • Ağiz Alanindan Yazi Diline Geçiş: Gagavuz Türkçesi Örneği*
Turkish Studies - International Periodical For The Languages, Literature and History of Turkish or Turkic Volume 8/9 Summer 2013, p. 85-94, ANKARA-TURKEY AĞIZ ALANINDAN YAZI DİLİNE GEÇİŞ: GAGAVUZ TÜRKÇESİ ÖRNEĞİ* Nevzat ÖZKAN** ÖZET 20. yüzyılın başlarında Türkçenin, Çağatay ve Osmanlı sahası olmak üzere iki ayrı yazı dili bulunmaktaydı.
