OAKLAND NOTES  The A’s had their nine-game winning streak snapped…the streak matched their longest winning streak from last year (August 24-September 2)…it was the second longest in Oakland history among streaks that took place entirely in the month of April (11, April 9-19, 1981).  Brett Anderson allowed a career-high tying three home runs (third time, last: April 30, 2011 vs. Texas)…allowed seven runs, just the fifth time in his career he has allowed seven or more runs…is 2-3 with a 5.64 ERA (14 er in 22.1 ip) in five career games, all starts, against Detroit.  Josh Donaldson (2 for 3, bb) has five straight multiple hit games (10 for 22, .455), the first time he has put together more than two straight multiple hit games in his career…is the only Athletic to start each of the first 12 games, all at third base.  John Jaso (0 for 4, bb, so) had his six-game hitting streak snapped, which was one short of the longest hitting streak of his career (7, June 27- July 4, 2012)…was 9 for 24 (.375) during the streak.  Derek Norris (2 for 3, 2b, rbi, bb, so) has made five starts, all at , and has hit safely in each game (8 for 16, .500).  Seth Smith (2 for 2, r, 2 bb) is 15 for 43 (.349) with 11 runs, three home runs, eight RBI and nine walks in 14 career games against Detroit.  Bob Melvin was ejected by home plate umpire Andy Fletcher in the eighth inning.
