1. The difference between the 2009 beginning balance of $7,427.37 (reported on the January 10,2010 Report) and the 2008 end balance of $47,993.61 (reported on the January 10, 2009 Report) was apparently caused by a combination of the following: a. A garnishment in December 2008 for around $35,000 was not listed on the report for Oct 24-Dec 31,2008. ~. b. On January 1, 2009 the KRP operated four (4) different bank accounts containing state funds. The $7,427.37 was the January 1, 2009, amount listed on one bank statement for only one of the four accounts. c. Some expenditures made at the end of 2008 (ie, checks written at the end of 2008) were not listed and deducted from the cash on hand as of Dec 31, 2008. 2. The $10,000 reported as received from the Jim Barnett for Senate Committee was a typographical error. The correct amount of $1,000 was verified from deposit slips. 3. The KRP did not retain -a copy of the check from the Susan Wagle for Senate Committee, however,the deposit slip for March 23, 2009, indicated a check for only $300 (check # 1255) and ~he bank did not indicate any error in the overall deposit. 4. The $2300 in question was received from the Republican House Campaign Committee. This has , ,been indicated on the amended report. 5.
